used to be rifleman
was considering going back to rifleman, but i keep hearing all kinds of stuff about it getting a huge nerf, so im not sure if i want to or not
some advice would be awesome thx

We will be nerf'd but in such a way that hopefully it will not be painful in pvp - pve we will notice the difference as they are making changes to armor, buffs, specials etc. It will be a whole new game for the combat system. It should force everyone to group more often for high level content but all make it so that players can not be gods anymore. Rancors are meant to be frightening - when was the last time a rifleman was fightened by one? How about Kryats? Nightsisters (ok ok ... nightsisters frighten me becuase i can't hurt em) but on the whole High level content was made to easy by the fact that player made items came out much more powerful then the devs expected 90% composite and 3000+ buffs were never in their design. This nerf should feel like a roll back to the early days of SWG - people grouped for content, armor was rare, buffs were ignored etc.
To test wether it was possible to still do that. I hunted on lok yesterday for 6 hours soloing with no buffs, no armor and no group. I killed untold hundreds of gurks, rebels and 2 kimos. the only time i was killed was when I took a mission with an at-st grouped and accidently hit the wrong shot ... supression 1 does not replace conceal , strafe 2 or even flushing 2.... plus i experienced a target warping to me yesterday just before i was DB'd.... 50m jump to me location. SO yes doing this all with lesser buffs and armor is possible
Hmm, well the combat revamp has been put on hold till afterJTL which is meaning that it will not come live for a long long time right now. We have time to solidify our position about what we want riflepersons to be before the then. So fight hard and bravely and pray that the combat rebalance will fix the other professions and balance them with us (or at least the post combat balance revamp us)
