I would think so... just have to kite it...

I went to the SMC spawn north of the dath outpost, and took in a SMC guardian, 100k HAM, 80% resist to all except energy. Just headshot3'ed the hell out of it, and kiting until I took it down, and I also kept going up hill using scout mods because she could run faster thanme in flat land.. I'd say yes... but you'd have to be lucky and in the right enviroment.

Current template is

Master Rifleman

Fencer 4-4-4-0

Pistoleer 0-0-3-0

Medic 2-4-4-0

I can solo them no problem, without kiting - just standing and tanking them- I keep them intimidated and have some decent 90% base armour. they don't hit that hard.

The only time it starts getting a little bit tough is when they stack the bleeds on you - with is why I have the First Aid box, and the treatment speed boxes. Its rare that i can't cure them in time now.

Takes about 5mins of HS3 to kill them usually... thats with a 800 max T21. I have capped Melee Defence and very high Defence vs Dizzy which helps a lot.

Here's my method... drag one from the group with the prone, mindshot method.

Once she is agro'd I kick of a re-occuring HS3 macro..... As I have the HS3 macro going I use the /ui action clearCombatQueue command so the macros belowwork straight away instead of waiting for the stack of HS3 to clear.

Then I use the below as and when needed......

Stand Macro... as soon as I get the Messsage "You have been knocked Down" I hit this

/ui action clearCombatQueue;

/stand

First Aid Macro... as soon as the bleedsstart coming I hit this and keep hitting every time I can heal again until healed)

/ui action clearCombatQueue;

/firstaid self;

Heal Macro (I load a Stim D or E in toolbar slot 3)

/ui action clearCombatQueue

/ui action toolbarSlot03

Intimidate macro (I put 3 in there as I find that 1 in 3 will almost always stick)

/ui action clearCombatQueue;

/intimidate1;

/intimidate1;

/intimidate1;

I know not everyone likes using macro's - butI find they make my life easier.....

my buddy who is a CM/Doc/Rifleman solos them all day long, he finds a spawn and kites her around for a minute or 2 till shes dead (he uses an Exceptional 3.4k-max T21)

If we can't kill it, it is immune to our damage

Kiting is king. Just be careful about her buddies like protectors, spellweawers etc who are immune to our damage types.

Yeah before I changed my template to cap my melee defence and def vs dizzy.... I used to kite them ok. They do seem to slow down after you have dragged them far enough from there spawn point.... also, running into mobs that con yellow will buy you some valuable time as they will get agro'd by the elder and will attack her.

Not there there are many yellow con mobs on Dothomir lol

Why not just /healdamage and save a toolbar slot?

It depends on your template.

With scout/Ranger, you can kiteher on foot.

With Master Rifle, Master Fencer & a load of medic, you can take one head on and expect to win.
If you are a pure rifleman, an Elder will eat you for lunch unless you can manage to use your swoop to kite her, get something else to tank for you, or /conceal her to death.

Yeah I have tried that.... I seem to get problems sometimes with it working properly, so I use that just to be on the safe side. Plus I can keep track of how many uses I have left on the stim.

There will always be a trick that someone can find to take out a static spawnd mob.

I was refering to the random spawning Elders you find in the wilds. If you can consistantly take those head on, with a pure rifleman, I wanna see it.

Sure dude, its easy. Trouble is you need the righ equipment. As I said before, I am MR/MD, so my only combat skills are in MR. I got lucky and looted a +25 Terrgain Negotiation LVA off an Elder once. This now lets me kite Elders, which can be done fairly easily in the wild. When you find one, just find the nearest mountain range or valley (they need to be a good size). Then lead her there. Once there you kite her with your T-21 till she gets too close (30m), then you switch to your +25 Terrain Neg item and out run her on the hill or valley. When you get out to 64 meters again, switch to the T-21 and do it again. Sure, it takes a while, but it works. It would be even better if you had the terrain Heg mods from scout, then you could just kite all the time over hills and valleys. But just being MR, that is how you do it. Get a +25 Terrgain Neg item. Doing this I have killed quite a few NS Elders.
