ready to test the CURB changes? you won't be doing it with that Live SWG client you're running. first step: free up some hard drive space, and install TC.
let's start with the official word from SOE.
having trouble? a ranger recently added this information for step-by-step installation... and a shortcut that will save you a long download.
don't like clickies? here's the short course:
fire up your SWG client. look down in the corner... you'll see a "Test Center" button. push it. it'll do things. let it do things.
when it starts downloading patches, tell it to stop. quit.
go back to your computer and look for the "star wars galaxies" folder... if you used the default install, it'll be in C:\Program Files\StarWarsGalaxies. copy the whole thing. head over to the new C:\Program Files\StarWarsGalaxiesTestCenter folder and paste it.
make a shortcut to the SWG Test client.
fire it up again, using the Test shortcut. go nuts.
having trouble? ask away. I'll answer what I can.

OK I have installed test center and the first time I got to the screen to choose servers, TC5 or Test center. I clicked TC5 and it was trying to connect and never did. I restarted and a "Combat Upgrade TEst" Dialog showed up to ask me questions on what I think. Well I havent even logged in yet..lol
Now it is updating and it gets to the poll.txt file and a error comes up and says "internet download error. check my conn. and try again" well my internet is fine. I ran a full scan and it gets stuck in same place.
WTH?

actually, the problem is that the devs have put a cap on the number of players on TC to keep lag manageable.
if you can't connect... the server is too busy.
alpha testers and correspondents have to wait in the same line.
