Thread: To All Master Rifleman, that blame the Novice Rifleman Four Words Shut Your Cake Hole
Now, this is not rant and a personal attack on SilverLobo (well to be honest, it is a little) i have noticed a few saying the same kind of thing.
It is to all those out there that say, wait until you are Master Rifleman.
I am 1/1/1/1 and a rifleman, i am not the uber Rifleman that you are, as many arent as well. It has taken me since about a week after the intial release to get to where i am today with that i consider some serious time at it (2-3 hours a day, bit more over the weekend) And to be honest i dont think ill master for at least a couple more months.
And i have grown tired of allyou Master Rifleman constantlyblamming us Novice Rifleman for the nerf's that are happening (if they happen) becuase we simply ask for a level playing field.
I unlike, your goodself, have not the time nor the inclanation to sit down and play SWG for 16 hours a day so i can rant and rave that i am the Uber Rifleman!
I dont sit at my computer for hours on end grinding away for rifle XP, i play the game, and enjoy it.
What i ask, and what i think most are asking for is a level playing field. And for christ sake, you guys of all should be on our side, seeing as you have spent the time on training your rifleman to Master and should understand the tasks that one has to complete to achieve such an achievement.
I appreciate that, once a Master Rifleman, we will find the whole skill alot more enjoyable. But doesnt that give you reason to tell you there is something wrong. We have to be a master of an elite profession to enjoy the game in every facet? And nerfing the T21 as is being discussed is only going to make it even harder, taking away some of the benefits and reason we had for going the path of a rifleman.
I see carbineers and pistoleers enjoying the game without to many problems, where as a rifleman seems to have alot of issues with it. How can he be effective in a group? How can he solo? And i dont mean bugs, i mean general play styes due to the limitations of the Rifleman.
Myself i took up ranger so i could use traps to help me advance, now i am going to get some minor Creature Handler to help me advance the rifleman skill.
DONT YOU SEE THIS IS A PROBLEM?
Im not asking that we get everything on a platter!! I like the fact that it is a hard profession, and Master Rifleman are sought of unique (trying searching for one when you need training, im on bloodfin, and cant seem to get any) but taking away the one advantage we have in the way of the fabled T21 rifle is simply going to gimp the rifleman to never be. Sure people that are already Master Rifleman will stay Rifleman, and those that are close wills till march on to Master Rifleman, but im 1/1/1/1 and am will cash in my points and go the path of a pistoleer if this T21 nerf is introduced.
It is a sad day whenmastersblame the apprentice beucase of change.
You Master Rifleman, should be out there, showing support for all those that are striving to become Master Rifleman, not sit on your high horse and blames those below you for change that no one wants.
Not all the master riflemen blamed novices. Some even posted about the T21 Fix it Post also. I am 2 blocks away from master rifleman, and I don't think the Novices made anything happen. Most riflemen posted to get the T21s fixed to have a new weapon. Then they fixed it > figured it was overpowered> NERFED > Mmm laser rifle... Either way it sucked at the beginning and it's going to suck now. Sooner or later they would have fixed the T21 and figured out it was overpowered and then just nerfed it like today, just a few weeks or months later. It is not anyones fault, we wanted the T21 fixed and it was going to get nerfed either way, if we didn't post we would have just delayed the inevitable(sp).
No one is to blame, most that blame never used a T21.
