I just got rifleman a coupple of days ago, and also got enought rifle xp to get the first box on my sniping tree.

My question is, how should i go about mastering this profession, should i move all the way up the sniping tree, or are there other trees i should do first.

i can't speak for everyone but i know i got enough xp for concealshot and then used that to work my way up counter-sniping. once you get startleshot2 xp is not a problem.

If you are using pets to tank for you, go for Counter-Snipe path to get those AoE combat move like Flushing2/Flurry2.

Once you got that, send your pet to take all the aggro and then use your AoE to finished off the mobs. Works well for me as the pet only "steal" the xp from the mob it is hitting. You will get all the xp from the reminder mobs.
