Thread: Question about Dizzy and posture changes
there is currently a bug where dizzy does not work as intended in alot of cases. It is being fixed in the current publish die next week.
I have seen dizzy work on NPCs, Players, and some select mobs that will lay down on there own. (bantha, ronto, pickets)
It usually only works when the target initiates a posture change, not on a forced change. It will work on ANY posture change, up or down.
The desired effect is the target to fall flat on their backside, acting as an additional knockdown.
I used this combo to great effect during the last leg of my Act 2 badge quest. You know the one...if you're a Rebel, you have to kill something like 7 stormtroopers.
I used Flurry1 and SuppressionFire1 in combination to first make the ST dizzy and then when he was on his way to kneeling (as a result of SuppressionFire1), he would fall over on his back. I'm CH too, so then my pet would start mauling him, hehe.
It worked really well and I got excited about using it all the time. Since then, though, I haven't gotten it to work at all. I mostly kill creature mobs(not NPCs or PCs). Hopefully the new patch will fix this and the combo will work more frequently and more reliably. When it works, it's awesome.
So, my questions are:
- does this only work when the target STANDS up, or does it work for changing from prone to kneeling as well?
- does this only work when the target does the posture change itself? Concrete, when I make the target dizzy, and the force a posture up (with Flushing 1/2), will I get the desired effect?
- what exactly is the desired effect? What can the target do or not do, how long will it stay that way?
- does this technique work on NPCs, creatures, pets and players? Or just NPCs and players? Or what?
Thanks!
