Thread: What's with the sudden popularity of rifles?
Used to be I could go two weeks without even seeing another novice sharpshooter, or a guy carrying a rifle who was NOT just leveling up master marksman. Recently there have been a lot of new riflemen, though still not a whole lot of masters (on Radiant anyway; think I've seen one other and heard of two more), and people who deliberately dabble in rifle, which is possibly the worst ranged elite to dabble in rather than master. What gives? Just riding out the MS1/2 stack and swapping to something else, or just wanting some ranged PvP kills?
Not really criticizing this trend (though I still think rifle is a sucky dabble profession), just curious.
One word for ya.. Holocron
That's why I'm going for Master Rifleman, not that I was opposed to rifles before, they were my first gun, but went Doc/Pistol/CM. Double mind hits in combat aren't good.
Can't say this was a bad profession for me to master via holocron.. I'm enjoying it. Just got flurry shot 2, nice to KD a buch of stormtroopers (or other NPC) with dizy.
Currently 2/0/3/3 working on 2/0/4/3
Holocrons and possibly the T21 (it's big, it's mean, it's AP3)...
maybe, anyways
so having experienced what a rifle is capable of in small part i started to think about why i went BH and why i gave up rifles so long ago. i started back up the rifle trees and started surrendering my BH skills with the intent to keep investigate. i then found out that i would be a pretty sorry rifle user without some additional skills and settled on a VERY self sufficient template to consist of:
marksmen 4004; master rifle; entertainer 0010; medic 2000; master CH; Scout 4040.
so no a holocron did not make me do it. i have never and intend to never use one. i sell those things to people that own more star trek uniforms than real clothing...
