Hi all, new recruit here, just got Novice Rifleman about an hour ago.
Was curious to know, if I were to drop all my marksman skills(I only have the rifle tree and combat xp tree done) after I master RIfleman, will I still be an effective rifleman? Marksman gives a few good bonuses to using riflesbut if I were to drop all my marksman skills to account for other skills being taken, I wanted to know if it would leave me crippled as a Rifleman. Any input is appreciated.
Thanks,
Hesh

As long as you have Rifleman abilities, you can only actually drop non-prerequisite skill boxes like Ranged Support.
for example since you have Novice Rifleman, you cannot drop Rifles 4 from Marksman since it is a prerequisite for Novice Rifleman. Similarly, you cannot drop Rifles 3 from Marksman since it is required for Rifles 4, and so on.
I hope that answers your question.

you can drop all the marksman skills other then the riffle line. it will not let you drop the riffleline unless you untrain riffleman.

Though I wouldn't reccomend dropping master marksman.
The +5 speed is *amazing*. Unless you can afford +5-7 in speed tapes, master marksman will *double* your damage/sec onany guns you're not capped with (and you don't cap out with most T21s till about 96-97).
I'm currently master marksman/rifleman, and going up to ranger tracking 3 (and novice med). The speed is bloody amazing.
Believe me, it's more than worth it to shoot strafe2's doing 2000-3500 of heavy AP damage over an area each second.

Ok thanks guys, I guess I wont have to worry about deciding whether or not to keep the skills since I have to =D and I might as well keep the Ranged tree for the bonuses. Thanks
