what are benifits of going with clothing rather than composite in pvp?

None, since you can wear both at the same time. I wear a ubese shirt with +8 rifle speed, +9 rifle accuracy and, +10 accuracy while moving. I also have a BE bandolier with bonuses to intimidate and warcry while also having a +13 rifle accuracy mod.

what are the stats on that ubese shirt without the tape? (and where is a good place to farm for skill tapes)

Ubese shirts are sold blank and have no condition. It has no encumberance. As for farming for skill tapes, your best bet is to make good friends and to kill various Nightsisters. If you have good friends, your game will be much more fun even if you like to solo. I gave my friend a schematic for the Geonosian Sonic Blaster pistol when I looted one. To return the favor, he gave me the +8 rifle speed attachment he looted off of a nightsister
