Is strafe shot pointless???

and if it isnt should I use it in the beginning of battle or before every shot??

strafeshot2 is the strongest attack in the game....what more do you need to know?

Actually Last-Ditch has a higher dmg mod, and I think he means strafe1 lol.

assuming you mean strafe1, yes, its useless, now, if you are talking about strafe2 being, you seriously need to rethink your template.

Crippling shot from Carbiner should be a x7 multiplier, so there's another one that's 'better'(single-target though). Most people seem to know to distinguish between Strafe 1 and 2, so I'd say he is asking us about the one that is worthless. It'd be nice to use what you get in the Novice Rifleman box, but without mobs taking cover, there is really no point to it.

i used to be carbineer and i used cripple shot with an uber 557 dmg krayt laser carbine(non poweruped) and in pve i generally only did maybe about 2900 damage tops against enemies with 35% energy. but also...this thing had like 75 min dmg. the min damage on laser weapons SUCK ASS!

Im also a carbineer and yes while you may only get a 3k+ hit once every several shots, its nice to be able to shoot crippling shot at the speed cap and do 2k average damage per second.

...How many Smugglers do you see with 700 max damage AP3 weapons?





Or with1.0 delay weapons?

Strafeshot1 does 2.0x damage and has a delay of 2.0x. While it's status effects only affect targets that are in cover, and almost nothing is, it does more damage than Headshot1 (though random pool) and has a shorter delay than Startleshot1 (2.1x delay), Flurryshot2 (2.3x delay, but AoE), and Flushingshot1 (2.1x delay), all of which also have a 2.0x damage modifier. But LastDitch is a single target shot, so against a single target, LastDitch may be stronger, but that advantage is erased as soon as two or more targets fall within the AoE effect of Strafeshot2. Therefore, I would have to agree with big-llama.

actually, thats just Novamarine being nice and working out damage modifiers.

Whenever a weapon is fired its damage is multiplied by 1.5
Then the damage modifier of the special is added.

novamarine worked that out and listed the specials.. so crippling shot is x7.5 damage (which is x5 base)

the strafeshot2 has a damage multiplier of x5 too.
so when you account for the fact that the rifles specials are listed and dont included the basic x1.5 modifier.. it also has a x7.5 damage mod.

However - unlike the rare BH/Carbineer who can speed cap crippling shot with a decent weapon the rifleman speed caps with the best weapon in the game (T21) - and /ss2 is a Cone.
