I've not yet had a chance to test the LOS changes as TC is always down when I check but here's a few concerns I'd like to discuss.

The LOS changes on paper are a good idea, it is silly to shoot through hills that are entirely concealing your target. What needs to be addressed with the LOS as well is how totally false the terrain is, what I mean is that there's no chance in hell that land formations would be the way they are on these planets. Erosion would ensure that gutter/trench hills that are common on almost every planet would be rounded hills or bumps. Dathomir is a perfect example of the extremes but even corellia has strangely undulating ground.

Now, I'm not suggesting that the terrain be reworked but due to these rediculous circumstances targets should be hittable as long as any part of them is visible from any visible part of your character. This will enforce LOS so that it is tactical while not limiting ranged combat overly much.

I do hope they tweek it. While running around on LOK last night on live server, I noticed there wasnt anywhere that was flat enough to fire from the prone position with the LOS system. Always a little bump, raised area, rock, or plant in the way.

TC-5 is up, its status isnt shown in launchpad, and LOS's code is heavily improved compared to the TestCenter Prime one.

is this fair to shorties?

actually this would have an equalization effect

if the tall person is shooting at the short person they still have the same los as the short shooting at the tall personand hopefullythe short person can use rocks that are taller than them as cover where as the tall vs a tall would be shot at if we can shoot over rocks.
