Thread: Close Combat Rifle

Whats the best Rifle to use in Close Combat... Im doing Qunker missions right now with my Laser Rifle.. Trying to get Novice Rifleman but as soon as the Quenkers get close cant i hit them.. My accu is -50 even when i kneel.. So whats the best Rifle to use?

You don't. You equip a pistol if they get close and use warning shot.

If you don't have novice yet and are just trying to over power your targets real quick. Get a good spraystick, has the highest DPS without considering rifle speed modifiers. You barely have any rifle speed at your level so this would be a good rifle to use. Don't get one of the standard ones, they will have a max damage of 77 I think and a speed of 2.2. If either of those stats match the rifle you are looking at it's just a sliced version of it. Try to get one that is naturally faster and/or more pwerful. The are a great sidearm until you go up in the rifleman tree.

Spraystick seems to be the lesser of the evils.


Ideal range mod is usually 30m, similar to a pistol, and is much more accurate in melee range, especially if you're kneeling

Yeah I used a spraystick for a while. The best thing to do though is get someone (or something, pet or droid) to tank for you. Heck, if you can get things to swarm on your tank and then use one of the attacks that can hit multiple targets you can get some pretty good XP. Just get buffed so that your specials don't cost you and make you sit out.


The other option is to stick it out with conceal shot, that way they don't get close to you as much, but that's not the best option.

I think my stick is somewhere around 47-200? 1.8 speed I believe



Made lvling to novice easy as hell.
