Thread: gold-yellow DXR-6b Disruptor Rifle

hello.
i looted a DXR-6b Disruptor Rifle in the Geo Caves. The item title is goldish-yellow so i got all excited thinking it may be exceptional or (wishful thinking) legendary.
but when i examine the item it does not say exceptional or legendary. it does not even look like that good of a gun. the stats are as follows:
7.4 speed
129 min
308 max
34.2% wound
-60 point blank
+60 ideal
+20 Max
20 health
28 action
45 mind
i am wondering why it would show up as a yellow weapon. there are no states attached to it, no bleeds or fire... in fact i think the condition is 480 of 795 or something lame like that.
anyone else gotten a 'special' weapon that was not special?

just cause the weapon name is yellow doesn't mean it's a good drop.

Average stats other then the Attack cost most are twice that if not more.

its yellow because of the low HAM cots to use... other than that nothing special about it...

Yellow text to any loot drops means it differs from the standard base, like 10-10 yellow power cubes are in white text but a 22-16 cube would be in yellow text. A 7.4 70-210 DXR6b is your typical loot rifle, if it's in yellow text either it has a DOT, low ham, damage or speed difference- I got a 7.3 154-363 20/30/33 with 109 health poison dot in yellow text waiting to be sliced.

Not entirely correct there. Only the 1stitem ofa lotwill have it's text in yellow, it's mates will have the same stats but white text.
Some guildies hit the caves over the weekend to get me parts, and brought me tons of single cores, adhesives& cube with great stats, but no sets. When I found out they were deleting ANY loot with white text, I nearly choked.
While having one +19/700 adhesive to toss in witha 4%/+17 cube is nice , the posibility thatthey were partsto sets of 7 is heartbreaking.

This I knew, I should've worded it in a better way, yeah the first item of a set would be yellow- and that sucks they were deleting all the white text ones. I got a set of 9 8880/450 green cubes that should bring a sonic blaster or DXR6b above 1100 condition but I had to delete 4 of them to make room in my inventory since I was getting the "full inventory" red text.
