Thread: No Rifleman Updates on Today's Patch?

I am looking through the notes on todays patch and see there are no improvements or changes to the rifleman. I must say this is very disappointing. I was hoping they would fix at least a few of the smaller issues. Anyway, I just wanted to cry a little about this observation with my fellow riflemen. I will be placing other posts seeking advice from those of you with greater knowledge and experience over the next several days, as I am considering giving up the rifleman skills I have due to their lack of effeciency, effectivenessandusefulness.

Devs clearly do not play their creations and are utter clueless as to the results of their nerfs. They seem to be in love with their ideas and ignore the results.

I noticed that too, and I'm hoping that maybe there are some changes to rifleman, and that these just don't fall under the catagory of 'Major Changes.' I don't want to believe that the devs would ignore us after that 500+ reply post on the SWG discussion board that was asking for a rifleman fix.

Oh well, and by the way, good luck with opening your FSCS everyone.

Two changes affect us....

*30 second timer on delay affects. That means 30 seconds before your bleeds take affect, if I read that correctly

PLUS.

*Increased movement accuracy penalties/defensive bonuses.

Which means we're even LESS accurate than we were before. Yippee!!

I guess the Devs figured we were too accurate. After all, we've all been complaining that we land way too many of our shots. Right? Right? Uh....right???

I noticed that as well, and was going to post it if someone else didn't. I mean, they made Bounty Hunters slightly better, but not a single mention of Riflemen. I was a little sad

  • Increased movement accuracy penalties/defensive bonuses

  • Thats not likely to help our cause too much...

Bleed is not a "delay attack" it's a DOT. So I don't think our Mindshot's are going to be effected by it.

I was hopeing to see "DOT's are taken into consideration from armor resists"

I was also desperatly hopeing to see "The melee dammage from heavy weapons has been changed to ranged dammage".

As for accuracy, I'll have to test it. As a master with accuracy modified rifles useing +33% damage +16% close range mods...I was boarderline on accuracy..so we will see.

I knew the devs hated us. Plus they lied when they said that they dont hate us.

    You guys missed it:

Wookiee roar gives minor mind buff, changed to 5 minute timer, etc.

(on the TC notes, hope to see it live) T21 being brought back up (don't know how much, exactly). Tusken rifle changed to AR1 kinetic (BIG plus here... we needed a kinetic flavor rifle, not another AR0 energy)

30 second timer on delay moves... here's the deal: THIS went live w/ hotfixes already. Posture changes qualify here (suppression fire is a notable example, also panic shot, several others...), but BLEEDS ARE NOT A DELAY ATTACK (they're a DOT). Again: you've already been playing with this new 30 sec timer for at least a week.

SURPISE SHOT NO LONGER REMOVES COVER. This is huge.

NPC's that are KD'd will actually stay down for a bit. Dizzy state will give a chance to make them fall down AGAIN if they stand up. This is an improvement over the current I-knocked-that-guy-down-so-why-hasn't-he-fallen-over nonsense.

Guys, WAIT AND SEE what has been changed until you get INGAME and can test it. We didn't get EVERYTHING we wanted, but NO PROFESSION IS COMPLETELY FIXED... we can't expect more than the other professions, and we certainly got SOME fixes with this update.

WE WERE NOT PASSED OVER. You just gotta read the notes REAL close.

Heh, with the new mind buff and IF suprise shot got fixed. There will be next to nothing in game we wont be able to kill solo using cover. To bad that you can't do the buff on yourself, I would dropCH and become an ent myself.
