Thread: Better compliment for Ranger?

MRM or TKM ? Or a mix of both? And i did post this on the Ranger thread too... just want to get as many opinions as i can?

Many people like the ranger and rifleman combo -


  • high damage

  • sniperish abilites mixed with general combat ability

  • varied damage types

  • ability to kill pretty much anything

  • camoflage (as someone so Elegantly put it a few days ago here... with ranger you can scratch the behind of a rancor and he would not notice)

  • harvesting/tracking/terrain negotiation from ranger

  • rifleman/ranger = the best combo for Krayt hunting in the game - you can find em and you can kill em!

for the TK side of things



  • speed capped damage

  • closer to your targets that you are hunting so you can harvest faster

  • cheaper to become "uber" at

  • better defences so you can be closer ^_^

  • camoflage (as someone so Elegantly put it a few days ago here... with ranger you can scratch the behind of a rancor and he would not notice)

  • harvesting/tracking/terrain negotiation from ranger

Depends,

If you are in it for hunting, TKM with Novice Scout can harvest more in a set period of time then a Rifleman with Ranger. With TKM you can just get the full lair aggro on you and start slaughtering. With Rifleman, unless you're buffed and armoured, its a one at a time deal.

If you are in it for the ability to take down anything, including NS Elders, Rifleman Ranger is the way to go. Camo kits and concealed shot gives you immunity to enemies, most of the time.


Rifleman suits Ranger more if you are going for the Hunter/Assasin Type feel. TKM suits Ranger more if you plan on using it for income purposes.


At least thats the way I look at it, being a Rifleman/Ranger myself.
