Thread: Rifleman aren't so bad.
Let me start off by saying, that I agree that the Rifleman class needs tweaked, maybe tweaked isn't cutting it, but bear with me here...I'm a sniper, I've played rifleman since launch, I've grown rather fond of the class, but I don't reall y think we're that bad off.

as you can see....I'm retarded. anyway I play with my roomates, a pistoleer and a carbineer, and We all agree that out of the 3 carbineer, is by fat the worst, it's horrible, I'll never put a point into carbineer, until it's fixed anyway. Now i have a pre-nerf t21, so maybe my opinion is a little skewed, but I take some muon gold beofre a fight, and when the 3 of us start killing, 9 times out of 10 the mind pool is the first one down. By a lot..I mean i win by like 10% sometimes, it's not because they aren't as good as me, they both have double the skill points in their respective classes, butI just do so much more damage.
PVP i get owned....i don't stand a chance but when it comes to killing 10k HAM mobs, I get the job done, The secret to being an effective rifleman is the muon gold or however it's spelled, it's just fantastic...mymind HAM is 75, and it barely even moves. I agree that the rifleman profession needs some fixes...the middle 2 lines of our profession are worthless.....2.5x melee damage sucks, and doesn't make sense...but as far as being a uneffective class...i tihnk some people are being a little dramatic
I don't know i just though I'd postmy thoughts, flaming is fine on this thread i can take it, it seems a lot of people are frustrated with the class so if you want to vent it on me, that's cool...I just really think that rifleman isa decent class, it's certainly not as bad as carbineer.
Another thing is that I have a prenerf t21, so that is a bit biasing, If I didn't have a fantastic gun which I'm lucky enough to have, then I probably wouldn't be as upset as some of you. Any one else feeling this way? I know there are a TON of problems with the class, but it could be worse..we could be chefs....
JymTarr I'm quite happy with the class as it is. It's just this new proposed 3 second cap on rifle speed is annoying. If they fixed some of the bugs (mobs warping is deadly with 2.5x melee damage) and didn't put this silly cap in then I'd stay rifle for sure.
Me too. I'm kinda glad I switched from Pistolto Rifle. Granted I'm Zeb MasterDoc who routinely gets really fat on that Chef food which gives +438 to Willpower and -137 to sta. Between my Doc Buffed pet and spamming HS2 I'm soloing MUCH better.
