Thread: Eye Shot or Fire Knockdown or Call Two Pets At Once/Call Bigger Pets Which is best?
As a wookiee at BH 0/0/0/4 and CH 2/2/0/2, what more would Train 3 give me? Ability to call CL 40 pets? Are there are any better than graul maulers/bloodseeker mites/bile-drenched quenkers? I can already call them.
I was seriously considering dropping either Novice Rifleman or Novice Pistoleer or Novice Carbineer and then getting CM 3, Tame 3 so I could call a Grand Wrix and Greater Sludge Panther at the same time.
Now I'm thinking about dropping CM completely and putting my remaining 12 skill points into either Taming 4 and Training 4.
Or I could put the 12 points into the BH Carbine line (Fire Knockdown) or BH Pistol line (Eye Shot). Devs are talking about taking Eye Shot to Master BH level, so I'd hate to go the BH pistol route if Eye Shot was taken away. I might not even get there before Eye Shot is gone.
I already have LLC4 and I'm never giving that up. And I have First Aid 1 & 2 and Diagnostic 1 and I'm not giving them up 'cause my heals are fast and good.
I love this game, lol.

If you already have LLC4, I'd say just drop rifleman and get BH pistol 4.
The only reason to get Rifleman is for mind damage without getting BH. So being a BH/Rifleman is redundant. I'm willing to bet that the new BH attack will still be better than Headshot2, mainly because it uses a pistol. Krayt dragon enhanced scatterpistols own all, and I also bet the new Mini-Eyeshot still uses action, so there again you'd be better off.
You might just play wait-and-see, but BH+CH is going to be the #1 combination for the forseeable future.
44xx in Creature Handling will always be nice just because you can get 2 quality pets out. Having 2 pets means people will have a lot harder time using warning shot. Having 1 lesser pet actually beating on someone is worth more than having 1 rancor that's running away due to warning shot.
Pecos, only thing holding me back on dropping rifleman is T21 (AR3) and mind shot 1.
Due to a bug, AR3 does nothing for you in PvP right now. It's supposed to grant a 25% damage bonus for every level of AR difference, but that only appears to apply to PvE.
So really you're better off with a scatter pistol. Effectively the same AR rating for PvP and it's much better DPS at your level.
Mindshot1 comes from Marksman, so I assume you mean MS2. MS2 + Eyeshot is something I've thought about, too. Lay down the MS2 with the T21 then switch to your scatterpistol for some Eyeshots (or Mini-Eyeshots).
But I think getting a second good pet may be better. 2 pets means it's harder to warning shot and if you get some variety of wrix it's double the chance of getting an intimidate on your target. (Intimidate lowers the target's damage output significantly, so two varieties of wrix would be good. Not sure what else intimidates.)
Social, as you can see from Pecos's post, it does relate to Rifleman because I'm trying to decide whether to remain one. That's why I posted here, duh. I'm seeking knowledge. But you're essentially saying, "Why are you seeking knowlege?"
Knowledge is power. And that's what these forums are all about, sharing knowledge. And I'm asking in all the other related boards, too, of course.
Thanks, Pecos, your information is great! I already have Mind Shot 1 from Marksman, duh, and I always will.
But I still like the T21. But perhaps two pets would be better, though. I'm beginning to see why Grand Wrix are such popular PvP pets.
PvE is just as bugged with the armour: If it does not have resist, damage does not multiply. Dear God I hope thy fix this soon ![]()

You will be guaranteed a better response (And more knowledge) if you ask this on an appropriate board, even if there are a few people here who have an opinion about it.

Which weapon do you use most often? After deciding if you are indeed going to get whatever it is you are from the information garnered from an appropriate forum, maybe you should examine the way you play. I can't tell you which one of the elite weapon professions to drop because I have no idea who you are or how you play.
Now I'm thinking about dropping CM completely and putting my remaining 12 skill points into either Taming 4 and Training 4.
That might work, why don't you try it out? You can always go back.

You know, that might work too. Or the other one you mentioned. Why don't you go into the Bounty Hunter forum and ask them what they think? I'm sure collectively they have more knowledge regarding these shots that they are willing to share than our typically biased opinions.

Well at least you know something for yourself.

I don't know, what do you think?

As for keeping yout T21 because it's the only AP3 weapon you have....So what? You can still use an E11 or Laser Rifle which has AP2 if you REALLY have a hard on to use a rifle.
If you had read all the rifleman threads I have read (and I'm not blaming you for not doing so), you would have picked up on the sentiment that being a rifleman is only worth the trouble if you are headed for master.
THAT is a question I think I can handle. Unless you use the T21 a whole lot, there is no use in keeping rifleman. Your accuracy will suck and you will kill your mind trying to use it. But by all means, keep the gun if you want to look cool running around with a cannon across your arms. I would. Remember, you can still wield the weapon, even if you don't have a cert for it.
Lol, Social, if I don't have the certs for my T21s, I'll sell 'em. I could get 25K for each of them.
I just can't believe there is not a use in this game for AP3. I thought it helped in PVE.
And I guess I goaded you into giving me this great info, and I both apologize and thank you.
