Thread: Give us back our T21's
yep, i was PvP-ing last night. first i dueled a commando. I hit burst run just before he accepted and was able to kite his flame thrower and actually won that one.
next fight--BH. eye shot spam, dead
next fight-BH, eye shot spam, dead
NO ONE BUT RIFLEMEN SHOULD BE able to TARGET THE MIND POOL, period
next-commando, 1 hit for 2700 Mind by flame thrower. I thought i was in good shape on moulon gold and 5 hits of aitha, my mind, focus and will were all over 1800, lol. no help at all
i have 3 guns, a t21 that is 160-420 or so, but 8.0 speed, useless in PvP (or pve really)unless in in the back of a huge pack
laser rifle, powerup up to 2.5 speed, 40-400, nice gun but you always hit for about 100 when it is the most critical time.
bowcaster, powered up190-470 5.4 speed. also a nice gun, but there is no defense against eye shot spam since it barely moves the BH action pool and drains the pool you use if u hope to have a chance in hell of winning.
I would like to see our T21's be something more powerful however that still will not solve the problem. The fact is that we simply fire TOO SLOW to be effective against anything. No matter what specials we have, we will get off one of them while any other combat profession will be pulling off 3-4 specials for our one, and thats that.
the melee penalty is the most ridiculous thing. And I'm sick of hearing that crap about how we shouldn't let things get that close to use in the first place, well guess what, it is IMPOSSIBLE to consistently stay at range. If we try to run we either have to burst run and stop for one shot then run again, or just keep running missing every shot we fire and hope the thing doesn't run faster then us. Going prone is usless due to the warp bug, kneeling still misses half the time and forget about ever hitting anything while standing or moving. The only reason I became a rifleman was because I wanted to be a sniper, ONE shot ONE kill, and the target never knowing where the shot came from. What do I end up getting? not being able to go prone, firing once and getting mauled since it takes forever to change postures, and losing every single PvP battle I've been in since the damage reduction.
That sums up the entire problem with rifleman as it stands. Fix all that, then we can start talking about weapons.
