Thread: Default Attack people use?
Knockdown recovery if I am fighting a delay template, otherwise nothing because I never know when I might need to use a certain special or save up action. If you had to go with one I would say advanced startleshot is a good call. At least when you fire this the enemy can't do anything for a few seconds and it will give you more time to decide which shot will be most needed next. It does ok dmg and has a good state effect, but the action cost might be a little high for a default attack.
I find that default attacks get me killed more often than not in a pvp battle. Even the knockdown recovery pisses me off because it will sometimes cause a delay if you don't have the next shot qued up and ready to fire. It is a lifesaver though if someone tries to knock you down and keep you on the ground.
I used to have HeadShot as my default, my T21 has a fairly high SAC so I'd drain real fast once I started throwing extra actions in there.
I've switched to RangedShot as my default in the last week and a half, and it works great for me. My action is free for Rally and Volleyfire (Squad Leader specials) and the odd Knee-cap and Startleshot when needed. Even without pistol or carbine mods, I can still pull aggro quickly using my Intimidator pistol or E5 carbine doing just ranged shot in most pick up Xp groups. Only time I switch off is when soloing, or something needs to be put down fast (wild aggro spawns attacking the low CL group member normally).
