Thread: solo tips?

I am by no means the best person to answer this, being the complete opposite of l33t, but I can quite happily solo up to cl80/cl82 as mbh/mcarbs/4040scout.
I usually hit the mob with a snare (non-npc mob) then bleed it and try to kite it, using a kd when the snare ends. I wear mediocre battle armour for this, which is enough to keep me together if the mob catches me. As a pistoleer/rifleman maybe think about using your pistol root (don't know if rifleman has one) then switching to rifles for kneecap and bigger dmg? kiting using terrain if you can.
You need to ba a bit careful on your choice of mob and pulling technique - go for non-aggro and non-social if you can until you get the hang of things.
When they get close enough to drop my cover I then spam Head Shot and (I think) Placed Shot to finish them off.
Against CL80-82 mobs I use one stim D to heal myself halfway through the fight.
I was able to take down CL82 17K health, stormie dark troopers.
Armour wears out fast as I discovered to my cost, when I realised that the legs of my +300 health Verdant Green and Tan Marauder Battle Armour had zero condition /sob
Now I wear budget armour, 350k credits for 5600 to all resists.

Good god.

thanks
You don't have to wear armor unless mob aggros.
I would use a 65m rifle like and advanced laser rifle. Aim/Snipershot/Root/the use the attacks that hit the hardest and quickest. i would sugest doing bols missions for starters. CM is nice cause if they get to close you can heal.
I usually don't wear expensive armor when soloing, if the mob hits hard. If you the mob gets to you, you know your soloing tactic is giving way and you'd better burst..especially against higher lvl mobs.
Give them a bleed, and run them in circles so they don't retreat. root-snare-kd-bleed-run-root-etc.
If a high lvl mob gets close and does a lot of damage, startle and stim. The anger/rage will go away in a while. Btw, i almost never use head shot..it always tends to miss. I spam advcritical/torso instead for best results
Armors at solo hunting aint the "important" i think, unless its ranged mobs your attacking.. Im using full R.I.S. Armor at my hunting(but only for the look and the amount of skilltapes i can put in it(Ofcourse all parts are ADKed
))
Try get the 2 Ranged arms there are available atm. the +5 Ranged Distance and the +10 Ranged Distance, would give you a 80 meters range as Rifleman.
when you hita mob, lets say krayt dragon. Try run around its spawn point as good as possible and if it gets to close to you, you can even activate Burst Run or use Root/Knockdown on it.
I have soloed a few Ancient Dragons without using Root or Snare just to see if it was possible, because the dragon gets confused when you run arround it and begin walk so you have plenty of time to get around it, just remember dont stand still when your hunting orderwise its your dead ![]()
