I’m just about to master CH and am going to master either TKA or Rifleman while dabbling in the other. I’ve decided that commando is no longer the way for me. I’ve just returned to the game and was hoping you could answer a few questions for me.

1. I’m wondering if any of you use armor (specifically wookie armor) in your hunting. If it is worth using, what stats range should I be looking for, and at what price should I expect to pay?

2. I am currently working on acquiring novice TKA and Rifleman. What are good creatures or npc’s to hunt so I can level at a reasonable rate? Can I solo them (just me and my creatures)?

3. What rifles should I look to carry? What sort of speed and damage should I be looking for from a good rifle now days, and what should I expect to pay for one?

4. For those of you who are playing or have played a similar template, how did it work out for you? What worked best for you? What were you good at? What did you try to avoid like the plage? I know that if I want to be truly effective I should drop CH, but I like the critters and don’t have much time to play the game. Also I’m not concerned with being uber. I’d just like to be effective enough to gallivant around and have some fun.

Thanks for any and all help,

Antimony

As I was going to post this I noticed a couple of good posts answering some of my questions. Like, armor is useful finally, and what rifles to carry (but I didn’t read anything about the wookie armor, is it good or bugged?). Savage quenkers are no longer the thing to hunt (maybe hurtons or Bolle Bols then?). So thanks to those who posted in the other threads. The information is a big help, and again thank you for any additional information you can provide.

Im not at novice yet myself but i do know a lot about the prof.

1) im a wookiee and have to say that while its not comp wookiee armor is very effective when hunting. look for anything over 40% kinetic. mine is 47 but ive seen them go up to 55. dont pay over 150k. i bought my first set for 175k on opening day and now i pay 52k everytime i need a replacement.

2) Well since ur ch u should have no trouble gettin novice rifleman. have a pet tank quenkers, any kind of huurtons, or bols and use headshot, or mindshot if u have brandy buffs or muon. im not a ch but i know that id be novice in an hour if i had a goodpet cuz a good laser rifle can do lots of dmg to mind but when they get close u wont hit them so the pet keeps them far and makes them easy kills. If ur not gonna use pets like me get a brawler that has 4 in a tree and use him to tank, ull both get good xp. as for getting novice tk do the opposite.

3)Get a few t21s to start out. once u can use it get a disruptor to use as well. when u hit master(which i would recomend) ull want to carry a t21, disruptor rifle, and a jawa ion for comp armor. at master speed wont matter. im not completely sure but a decent t21 is in the high 400s a decent disruptor is also round there and a decent jawa is in the high 200s. all these can be way higher if u can afford a krayt.

finally i suggest mastering rifles and doin the kd defense tree in tk. rifleman is great pve but worthless pvp unless ur master then its the best. with kd defense and the ability to shoot rifles as fast as a tk can hit ull own.

remeber im not a rifleman yet so u may want consult sumone else aswell

Thank you so much for the help. I have one other question. When I left food was borked and only high lvl players used spices. Now it seems that everyone is eating and drinking to their hearts content. What are the foods and spices most useful for riflemen? What stats does each one boost, and are there any down side to using them? And finally what ranges of boost should I expect to find for each one? Well, I guess that was more than one question, but I think you'll understand. Thanks again for the help.

Food/spice that I always have in my inventory:

Vagnarian Canape - 600+ boost to willpower and focus. No downer.

Vasarian Brandy (BE enhanced) - 400ish boost to mind, willpower and focus for around 40 minutes. Can stack two is desired (for 800 buff). No downer

Muon Gold - +500 to mind, focus, willpower for ten minutes. -500 downer for three. I only use this for emergencies, as a "mind stimpack".

Ganx Quad - Imperial Goon (Bloodfin)
Cahnuuk Esko - Missing, presumed dead
