if you want to avoid dying, rougue bagerasets on corellia are not a horrible way to get exp easily without dying. i also suggest getting yourself a pet to tank while you can shoot from a distance.

Just a quick newbie question from an aspiring rifleman. I know everyone hates these kind of questions, so extra thanks to all who will help me out!
I've been working on Novice Rifleman on and off for the past couple of weeks, and I still havent found a good creature to farm at this level. Headshot2 is my best attack at this point. I've tried Savage Quenkers and some other forum-recommended critters, but it's been rather frustrating doing so much cloning lately. I'd prefer to not have to get buffed, but if that's necessary dont be afraid to say it. I just want the max possible XP without dying! Novice Rifleman is so close and yet so far!!!!

I'll tell ya what I hunt. go to tatooine, go a ways north of the Krayt POI. use that point as the top right point and Mos Entha as the bottom left point and make a square. That is your search area.
Use your speeder and search this area for Feral Banthas. They give the most xp and i can either one shot or two shot them every time. go 64m away, make a macro to /aim and /headshot2. Each Bantha gives me about 1k rxp and 100 cxp. when i'm grouped (you know those groups that are never around each other but never disband) i get 1200 rxp and 120 cxp.
This is of course with a damage based T21. Now if your trying to get to Novice Rifleman, use a nice Laser Rifle, you should at least be able to two shot the feral banthas.
If you think you can take them, also hunt Bull Rontos. I get maybe 2300 rxp and 230 cxp.
Always destroy the mounds - at least 3k rxp right there.
Thats my secret to grinding. Every now and then I get on a roll and can't stop finding Feral Banthas. but then again I've been having trouble lately... and a Bull Ronto disabled my speeder because i bled it. *stupid rontos*
If your on the Radiant server, I never said this. Stay away from my banthas.

if you don't want to get buffed, a good way is to join a small group that has a melee fighter. all you have to do then is lay down and fire off

Get buffed, get buffed, get buffed. And again, get buffed. It may cost you between 7k - 10k, but on any advance planet you can get that back with one mission. Also buy some Brandy to buff your mind. It may be a bit of an investment but you will find leveling so much easier and enjoyable.

NOOOO u dont need buffs . get a pet from your local friendly neiborhood BE with 1300-3000 health and allot of brendy and u can kill quenkers like vrelts .Use your headshot 2 and liser rifler or T21 if u can.

Get buffed. Those first few boxes are real hard already, why make them more difficult by not buffing? Later on you can do pickets without buffs but for now.......
Go to Talus. Tons of monsters that give 1k xp and are easy. Just take whatever missions get you the most money.
Then once you get better do Picket missions on Dant. 3 - 4k xp per monster and they are not as hard as you'd think if you are careful.

May I make a suggestion... The new droids provide a nice tank (3-4k HAM) and I sit back and pick my pour targets off.
