either your chef sucks and makes 51 filling brandy or your filling was too high after your old brandy died off that you couldnt take 2. I know that I cant pop 2 right after my first set finishes. But...
No, I can still take 2 brandies at once, and I'm sure everyone else can provided its filling is >=50 and they have no drink filling.

To the original poster, make sure you don't buy 51 filling brandy. That stuff is crap. Most is 50 or 49.
Food is bugged, apparently, which is crap. It's supposed to be 30 minutes to clear your full stomach, but it ends up being ~45 minutes, sometimes less. There's a random aspect to it, which is probably the buggy part. In any case, I use 50 filling, 45m30s duration brandy, so I can almost always pop 2 more right after they wear off. Twice I haven't been able to take 2 after they wore off, so sometimes the food timer is >45m30s, but rare at least.

I have had similar issues with the timr going from 40-50 minutes. Wish the devs would fix it besides make it so we can be pretty colors
