Am I doing something wrong these days? The attack will damage my main target and say it hit surrounding ones, but it does no damage to them. Like it will say "Left arm hit" or something, but it does no dmg. Whats up?

I have noticed this also. I have an idea, but dont know if it is right. I notice that when I do an aoe the mob I am attacking takes damage and the surrounding mobs only say they take damage. When each aggros me and I do an aoe then my attacks starts hitting everyone in the group instead of the original one I was attacking. I think that when the mobs are being attacked without them attacking me they say they are taking damage but are not losing any ham.

Hmm, I'm having no problems with flushing shot 2. shoot at quenker lair and all the quenkers heal the lair as they spawn and I kill all 6 quenkers at the same time. finish mission in under 3 minutes spamming flushing with a spaystick

As far as I know this has halways happened, it happened to my while I was playing using FlushinShot2 way back last August.

The Reason: You only do damage to targets directly in combat with you, your pet or another grouped player.

Why?: I have no idea..

It just seems to be the way it works, the firstArea attackwill only damage the target you have targeted and will "hit" everything in the AOE Cone. The second consequentareaattack will hit and damage everything that you are in combat with within the AOE Cone.

This is also why attacking the lair with an area attack automatically means you will damage any enemies around it, basically because as soon as you hit the lair they all aggro you and you are engaged in combat with them.

I hope that helps a little

I have seen this quite a bit...usually on the first shot, then if the mob is a BAF-type, they all go aggro and now AOE shots stick em all just fine. Same thing with flame cone1&2 for the FT....It wont stick on secondary targets until they aggro me and engage in combat. Annoying and Illogical, if you ask me.

This was changed a long time back - area used to hit all but was nerfed to only hit aggroed many months ago.
