Thread: Cover question Just back in the game so learning CU

I see there is no cover mod in the skill tree for MR. My question is are there skill tapes or AA to add to this mod? Are they broke? How much of a mod do you need to make it worth while?

Basic rule: If you have a skilltape for a skill, that is not in the skilltree of any profession anymore, then it won't do anything.
Cover, Pistol Accuracy while moving, Rifle Crawl speed and a few others are examples of that. Warcry and Intimidate BE clothes too for example.

Cover though is a skill in the rifles tree. But you get 0 modifiers from that tree leg for cover. So according to what you say the tapes/AA should work. Though that is not what you imply by your post. Could you please clarify for me. I am one confused TOON.

No, there is a /coverup skill yes, but no skill-mod "Cover" anymore in the skilltree. Nowhere.
You can also still shoot Pistols while moving, doesn't mean that you get a benefit from the CA/AAs.

yeh far as I know cover is an on/off skill although presumably some random number generators decide if/when a NPC "notices" you.
