Heres the story. I havemy 2 cyber arms SOE gave me. Combined they have +15 to distance. I am shooting a faction turret and am out of range for it. Some guy comes along and starts cussing me because he says i'm exploiting. He says he is taking video and screenshots. So i say ok and leave. Now heres what i don't understand. SOE gave me these arms for doing the quests. I have in no way altered these arms. I am just using them to my advantage as every profession uses some special skill to their advantage weather it be armor break, a clothing attachment or knockdown dizzy. or whatever. Is this truly exploiting and if so where can i see where a member of SOE has said so?

Thanks.

Exploiting would be that you found a flaw in code that you could simply walk up to turret and base cuz base/turret cannot "see" you cuz of computer flaw and you just touch them to have them explode cuz you knew how coding work then THAT would be called exploiting. You played by their RULES means not exploiting.. Bypassing or bendinggame RULES means exploiting..

Look at it this way, you took the arms for range, but it prevents you from wearing armor. You gave up defensive options for offensive ones. Explot or strategy? I say strategy.

Lol. Definitely LEGIT.. That's what arms are for.. Extend your range ability to shoot even if turret is out of range.. You got tactical range advantage over it..

It's similiar to have a spearman army facing musketeer army. Musketeer army has huge tactical advantage and can wipe that spearman army clean in no time without getting scratched.. Is that exploit? Heh no, that's just tactical, technologically advantage. It's always true in any warfare that range means ALOT. Your arm got technically better over turret and you won. Now, SOE just need to introduce new advanced turrets with longer range to offset your arms. The guy should blame SOE not you for making the turret busting too easy with arms.. You are artillery.. Artillery is most commonly the hardest item to take out of the battlefield cuz they are usually well behind their frontal line well-protected and OUT of range.. How to achieve that? Bring enemy artillery to take that artillery out as well. Turret people should bring in people with cyber arms to equalize the battlefield..

I would like to thank everyone that responded to my thread. THANKS. I also want t o verify that i talked with a CSR in chat yesterday and he said while a lot of people were whining about it but at this time SOE has not confirmed it to be an exploit. I also want to stress that if alot of people are whining i'm sure something will be done about it to prevent us from useing the advantage over turrets. We have to remember that whiners in this game have ruined it by bringing us the CU (combat downgrade i call it) lol. So i ask everyone to please keep whining to a min. before this game gets any worse.

Thanks
