HI all, im currently working on ways to improve my crafted weapons, to do this i need to know about sac- and how low it NEEDS to be.
Now i know most rifles now are always sac capped at 82 but i need you rilfemen/women to tell me what is the hgihest sac you could possibly get away with using.
I know some people say they can use thier pre CU converted rifles with 104 sac with no problems if they have the right food etc.

I would say that the max you could still be relatively effective with is around 110 sac (pretty much what happens when a weapon is crafted without being experimented on). The lower the sac though the more effective you will be. Higher sac lowers you hang time in combat - you will have to resort to SAC conserving measures faster.
With a 104 and no reduction foods/drugs etc it is about 1 kill per action bar at equal CL.

Thx for quick reply. As there are so manydamaged/sac capped rifles out there im trying to improve min damage with slicing (as the slice craft cap on max damage is only 1pt there is not much difference) Ive just made an ALR with 110 sac from krayt tissues but ive managed to get the damage to 546-1183, this will give better results with a damage pup or in pvp. im hoping to get the sac down to at least 100 though. (ive nothng else to do while damage caps still exist

The trick to getting super low sac is to use crafted stocks. As a 12 point Weaponsmith I can usually get them to around -24 sac. The to get them really nice and cap the damage use Power cells and you are golden, with a power cell you can get the sac on a power handler down to around -15 maybe lower with better rescources!

If you can get the Min damage up like that on a kenetic rifle, then you have a good seller id imagine...
As it is with rifles now, sac is way to high for the small about of damage over a pistol or carbine. Anything over about 95 SAC is pretty much going to be used strictly for pve. Unless, as i said before, its a kenetic rifle.
What we need is somone to craft some rifles, and get us a good minimum damage curve, so we can compare the Mins on each rifle type.
