ok, i saw the thread down below, but that was only talking about PVE with the sisters and whatnot.
I was wondering if a Doc/Rifleman in PVP would be able to hold his own.
I was thinking it could but then i came here and everyone is talking about the defense being low.
So yea.....would the above temp be viable in PVP?

Long and short is, "who needs defenses when you can cure anything put on you immediately?" Riflemen/doc is a great pvp combo. You get kd'd, you hit your macro /stand; /curestsate; /stand; and you're up immediately. You get set on fire, you immediately put the fire out, same with poison and disease. With the way pvp is right now, the worst downside of riflemen/doc is that you still can't connect very well against jedi, but against regular melee stackers between accuracy and accuracy while moving SEAs, citros snow cake, /aim,and using high range mod rifles, riflemen/doc is one of the best pvp templates there is.

It's great for regular pvp but like everything else, a jedi would ruin it. If you are a rifleman/doc and see a jedi, just run.

I personally don't think rifleman/doctor is a very good combination, you'll often end up being a flopping fish and with the 3 second state healing cap it's quite a bit harder to do a /stand;/healstate dizzy self now- swordsman, fencer and TKM are better choices along with doctor than rifleman. I was also a doctor/carbineer for a short while and it's loads of fun but served better as a support role in PVP as you can stand back and spam state effects on everyone.
However this may change after the combat revamp, but right now fencer or TKM stands better along with rifleman as well as the ever popular combat medic/rifleman.

What happens when you run out of mind from healing every single state that you get and healing yourself? Just doesn't sound like a very good PvP to me, but i havn't tried it.

if you run out of mind due to specials/healing, you shouldn't be PVPing. Simple.
Rifle Doc is great, I've been one for quite some time and an avid PVPer. I recommend it.
End of story
To each their own.

lol yeah, if you have the right food, some good rifles, mind buffs ect your not gonna run out of mind, it wont even cost you ANY mind
only downside to the proff is its defences arent good so you do an ass load of dmg directly to the mind were screwed, tkm/other riflemen are dangers because we dont have def, and they can attack our only unhealable pool

Im sorry but please learn about PvP, every single PvP rifleman i know makes SURe there mind is at least 1.5k so they get no mind costs at all. Ima a rifleman doc and never have any mind costs.

i have pistoleer 0040 for help on the states and cm 0004 mainly for the terrain neg to help kite melee guys plus the poision is a nice little bene. and of course master rifleman. but what makes it better is the novice doc. to heal dizzy when i do get hit with it -- used to be doc 4030 with last pikeman temp but thought i would try something a little different . plus if i take a thaitkille i max out on kd and have 60 to dizzy so not often do i get floppy on the ground if i do it right.

/shrug, thaki gives +95 def vs KD which gives lowest chance of KD (1/10) and i heal dizzy off for posture down so its all good
