Thread: How is Master Rifleman?

Hi, all. I'm wondering if someone can tell me if there's a huge difference when mastering the Rifleman profession as opposed to being Novice Rifleman? Right now I have 2/2/3/2 in the Rifleman profession and I am indeed noticing a difference. However, I was hunting Huurtons on Dantooine the other day and I happened to come by a Teras Kasi Novice hunting Huurtons as well who was at 2/2/4/2 and she was literally blowing right through them. She took about three down in less than three minutes. My Jaw dropped, because she said she was only a novice TKA and here I am as a novice Rifleman plinking away at these Huurtons with a DXR-6b rifle and I am no where near the speed she is in order to take these guys down. I think I'm doing something wrong, though, I'm sure I am. Should I be able to take down Huurtons with ease considering my Rifleman skill level (2/2/3/2)?

This brings up my question if Master Rifleman shows huge improvement and if I can hunt solo, fast, and with ease while going out in the wilderness. What abilities does the Master box offer that makes it such a big difference (if the difference is indeed big)? Should I work up a certain box one-by-one or in a combination with others to get the speed I'm wanting when I go hunting?

I have to apologise for all the questions, but I figure that I might as well ask away in one thread instead of posting numerous threads later on and taking up some bandwidth (:

Thanks in advance!

master rifle is much more powerful than tkm. You'll be able to fire once per second with nearly any rifle at master, be much more accurate and do a TON of damage. For now you should probably use headshot3 or that low lvl cone attack (??? startleshot2 ???) to grind up. At master you'll get strafeshot2 that is a high damage cone attack that dizzies as well. TKMs can't even come close to the power of a master rifleman.

With master Rifles and master marksman, you'll be at or near the speed cap with any rifle. Just plain Riflemaster has 90 rifle speed, which means most shots will be about 1.5 delay, with a dmg sliced t21 delaying for up to 2 seconds. Still highly worth it tho, the difference is quite considerable, and the aoe attacks do some nice state attacks (It's good to be able to dizzy/stun your opponent from 64m). But, if you manage to pick up a rifle spped tape, all the world's your oyster.

Also, when you get xx2x rifles, you get certed for the DXR6-b rifle, which imho is the second best rifle in the game, after the t21. It'll often be faster than a t21 with comparable damage stats, and acid damage, which punches through psg's like a warm knife to butter. it's also medium ap, so it cleans up quite neatly on dathomir and in the geo lab.

/agree with all the above

There's a huge difference in speed from 4/4/4/4 to master. Combined with strafe shot 2 you'll be killing a lot things very quickly.
