Thread: yeah so this was posted on the pistoleer forum....

and everyone wonders why pistoleers are superiour to riflemen....
Hating the people that hate riflemen! Anarchy to those classes that do! Death to Bounty hunters, Pistoleers, and Commandos alike! LOVE THE RIFLE, BE THE RIFLE, (just don't love the rifle too much, that is taboo in some cultures) ![]()
Pardon me, but I fail to see the relevance. The screenshot is of a smuggler taking out a droid engineer. Yes, his Last Ditch shot hit for very nice damage, but it's an advanced attack, and certainly comparable to the damage advanced riflemen can do.

When i was referring to pistoleer dmg in general i shouldve said pistol users. But even a pure pistoleer has stopping shot which could achieve dmg equal to what that smuggler did.
true, I understand that now My mistake, however, looks like he is still using an FWG5 which last I checked was indeed a pistol ![]()
and with power such as that, even vs a rifleman (who would be kneeling/prone anyway) well, since I only have 900/900/900 health, that would be a one-shot on me, which is umm evil and stuff according to the devs ![]()
:sigh:
Hmm. Maybe what ive seen about stopping shot is wrong. But I believe it has a 5x modifier. so with a 50-200 fwg5 (i think thats about average, im not a pistol user correct me if im wrong) that would be. ok so PvE damage would equal 300-1500.(using flyojumpers formulas) Interesting ive seen screen shots of consistent 3k stopping shots. Can someone explain to me why my calculations are only about half of some of the stopping shot screenshots?
ok well if I dmg slice and max/min power up that weapon I can get stats like 75-350. So now i think stopping shot will reach around 562-2625 in PvE. or140-656 in PvP. I think the really high consistent hits ive seen must be with the uber scatter pistols. It could get pretty bad with Krayt tissues though.
the formula im using for dmg is base dmg times 1.5( for auto attack multiplier) times 5.
I got that from flyojumper and i havent tested it myself but I think others have.
