Ok so here I am BORED at work, getting paid to read the forums and well sleep and I was thinking, really when your scared do you jump? I know when i was growing up in the ghetto, and shots were fire we were all scared, and all of us hit the ground.... thats right NONE of us jumped up why? Human nature is my guess.... And WE ALWAYS hit the ground, if we were playing basketball, it be "BANG* then you'd see EVERYONE go down. Only the crazy and stupid stayed standing. So heres my conclusion, the devs A) Never lived int he ghetto, B) All the Star Wars people must have way bigger balls than me, cause when I hear shots to this day I still, stop, drop, and roll......

I feel ya Bro!!

I group up in the ghetto to and i dont even think we stopped and droped and rolled.

It was more like drop and roll. If it was quite you got up, stayed low, and bounced.

Evacuate the area leaving your homies to fend for themselves.

That what they should doo..

IMPLEMENT THAT!!!!

If someone were shooting at you, while you are prone, and the shots are getting close... You bet your rear-end you'd move. Cover is only cover until someone starts aiming direct shots at its weaknesses. If you realize you are behind a wall with holes in it, you would move.

Yes you move but by no means do you jump up and run initially you hit the floor. Chance are if they are shooting at random your better off staying in one place, lol if they know where your at then you should move some where else atfer tou first hit the ground... lol oh well ghetto living doesn't apply to SWG does it?

ROFL I love it...

Hey I don't care what they say, Tatooine is friggin' ghetto And no, when I'm ballin' at the courts with my boys and shots ring out I don't stand up, I hit the ground faster than a high school girl's dress on promnight.

Involuntry muscle contraction? Yes. Enough to invoke a posture change? Nope.

But it's like I tell my girlfriend who is terrified of lightning. "If you see it and hear it, it didn't hit you"

Diving to the ground is a trained response, because you know what the sound is, and the fear is not being hit by the first shot, it's being hit by the second, third or however many shotsget fired.

And yes, I would think it SHOULD be the same in Star Wars - but this is still a game and there need to be mechanics that have Nazi-like control over what the characters do.

If the sound were made by some sort of healing thunderbolt, I bet people would stand up and hope a second came along their way.
