Thread: Just made it to Master Rifle. Thing is I'm poor and poorly equipped. How do I make some money?

I have comp and a dxr and t21 (not good ones) and that's about it. I wonder if I can do Janta hunts without armor and buffs (except for mind buff) and just use brandy and ahrisa and make some fast cash so I can buy a decent gun and some skill tapes. I am also leveling up doctor but I don't think I want to spend time buffing for cash. (Plus that's a way away). Are there better ways to make money. I find 30K Janta missions are pretty easy but Mokks are much harder as they have better resists. If I'm going to go out there and play like a Rifleman (surprise,concealment, and keeping my distance) I shouldn't be all dressed up in blue killing armor should I? I need money so bad. I basically have less that 1/2Million which I keep on hand for crates of Brandy and Ahrisa. Jantas the best bet? Anything faster? By the way, the grind to Master for me was a long one but WHOAA how things are different up here

I don't think that you would be able to do those missions without buffs unless you had good pets that kept the aggro while you blasted away. But at least on my sever buffs are only 10k-12k, and missions are ~30k. So even if you buy buffs you will still make more than enough to pay for the buffs 10x over.

I was a CH and didnt use the pets on the Janta/Mokk missions. Waste of time to use them. Only need concealshot to kill the Janta's/Mokk's then hit the lair. Used stims when i didnt get buffed and rarely needed armor (sucked when they noticed me).
Janta's are a good solid money maker. If you want to make serious money, you will probly want to try the Geo Caves, or Nightsister hunting. But those are mainly for loot to auction off and sell, and dont be surprised to loot nothing during a night of hunting.Janta's/Mokk do drop crystals and loot kit items that people will pay a reasonable amount of money for, but they are not gonna be high quality.
You may want to look at the trade forums to see what people on your galaxy are selling and how much they are getting for their work. Resource sales is another possible option if you have unused lots (some people do rent there lots out for harvester's to other players).

I use to do Janta missions all the time with nothing but moun, stim B's and a speed sliced T21. /prone about 60ish awayand use head shot 3. If the one your shooting at starts to run at you.Stand up and kitehim with head shot 3 till he's dead. You might die every so often to shaman's, but its very much do able.

For money I use to do Piket missions. You can usually do them without Health and Action buffs. Probably just use some Brandy. They pay 9k per mission. And if they do drop you they don't DB.

Or, go to Talus and take Aakuan champ missions, fair chance to get some AA as loot, I found me a Polearm speed +6 which made some healthy cash on auction.
Those sissies are easy to kill, but very social. Use your brains, or concealShot

AAkuans are also all melee, all the time. At 60M out, even if they do go aggro, you can usually drop them before they get near you.

Wanna make serious money? Add master Ranger to your title. The cash'll start flowing like the niagra falls. Combine /maskscent or /conceal with conceal shot and you're good to go...though some beasties will break the cammo no matter how hard ya try. If you're on corbantis send me an e-mail I'll be back in town Thursday. I'll be happy to lend you some money and /or equipment.

heh. You get Janta and Mokk missions on Dantooine. You need to be in a group of 6 or more people to pull them. The larger the group, the more often they will appear on the terminal though.

Yup, the cats should do well enough tanking. Just send in the cats to attack the lair so they'll draw and keep the aggro. From there, if a Master Rifleman, SS2 and watch them all fall down, otherwise you're options are Flurry Shot2 or to single them out and HS3 them all to death, the latter being the slowest of the options.
The trick I use to do the missions though is rather simple, once you make Master Rifleman. First, put the /dismount button on your hotbar. Second, if you're not speed capped, buy some speed sliced T-21's and throw on damage powerups (You'll be grinding 500K+ an hour so decay on your speed sliced T-21's should bother you). Grab your two missions and then fly out to the lair on your speeder. Sit back till the lair spawns and target the lair, NOT the NPC's. Fly to the lair and hit the dismount button. You will still have the lair targeted so run away from the lair spamming SS2. The Janta's/Mokk's will first run to the lair, then they will follow you, in a straight line. Stop at 63m and watch as they keep running at you, in the cone area for your SS2.
I do this buffed, but unarmored most of the time. With Janta's, they'll die before they ever get to you. Every now and then a Mokk or two will get to you and put in a few hits before you destroy the lair. My advice would be to put on some good ubese and practice this scheme for a full buff session before trying it without armor. It may sound easy, but it does require a bit of finese to get it down just right.
So, if you want to do your part and contribute to the inflation rate of your server, this trick will work for you!
