Thread: Just got Sniper

Hello all,
Working on Master Rifleman/ Master Ranger, thought it might be a cliche but don't find too many riflemen about and even less rangers
Just finished the sniper tree making me 4202, I don't PVP as i am a casual player (i have been working this template for 2 months) so don't have the funds or the time to get all the toys necessary to keep me alive in PVP.
Here is the question, what good is sniper shot outside of PvP? MOBs don't incap so is this a useless skill to have unless you PvP?

It is a PvP only skill. Information on it can be found in the FAQ that is stickied at the top of this board.

Congratz on the Sniper Title!
I too am going Master Ranger/Master Rifleman... I was Master Pistoleer, but got tried of low damage output against high end mobs.
Right now I'm 4/1/3/3 and loving every minute of it! I just finished the Melee Speed quest at the village and had no problem at all (as a Master Pistoleer, I consistantly had my clock cleaned by the Sith).
I kinda hoping the Capture the Sith quest in phase 3 goes well for me....

u should try getting xx4x thecone attack with a nice speed sliced speed puped dxr-6b is very nice

You only need xx3x for this. Also this method is only really recommended if you have a tank. If solo'ing then Accuracy and ConcealShot are generallythe way to go.

sniper shot rules pvp for many reasons but that is it.
I have incapped jedi 64 meters into lakes and without sniper shot would have been no kill,
Tkm with there avoidincap, spam sniper as soon as they go down adn the cant do this to you.
Side note, Any one know why Snipe shot does 50 damage?

better question - does saber block work while incapped like dodge/block/counterattack? ^_^
snipe shot does 50 damage because the devs made it do that ^_^ (yeah I know a nonsensical answer but is the best one we have)
