yeah it is called
/sarcasmon
atk play
it involves me pushing a function key every few secs at the most and keeping an eye on my action so that I do not burn out to quick but also keeping an eye on the states and damage level of my target and assessing wether I should take a kill shot or a less damaging shot or a state shot.

Really you can't afk to much anymore - you could meatlumps but since auto start attack and auto targetno longer work and looping macros have been again slated for removal creating a macro is almost silly.
The idea of the new combat system is that you are engaged at all times doing something rather then having the computer fight your battles for you. Even creating macros to loop things like duelist stance is almost impossible as if you do a special immediately before it needs to go on again - it times out for a sec or two.

if you really do want to macro it
- time how fast specials cycle for your speed (this varies according to template
- figure out your rate of Action drain and adjust for it (varies according to special and weapon)
- select the attacks and the order you want to use them in

Just use the icons and /ui action toolbarSlotxx
Create a loop and and a /dump macro.
Works great with pass-through assist.

If you are warring.. it is a dangerous thing to use macros.. in the new war, it takes adaptation on the field to overcome shifting levels of combat during the fight.
