Thread: Which skill tree to follow first?
While the REST of the skill boxes in the Concealment line are of almost no use, the FIRST box gives you ConcealShot, which is a very handy ability. You can hit a random pool for 700 - 1500pts (in my case) and you will not aggro your foe at all. You can stop firing, /peace and rest up, even.... as long as you don't waltz up to the creature --- sometimes they seem to get ticked off and "realize" that I was the one shooting them earlier.
Also note that ConcealShot will only work on your target: if there are social allies near the target, they will instantly charge you.
I was killing Fambaa earlier today just using ConcealShot. Sure it took 15 - 20 shots, and each shot took 15 seconds to cycle... I never said it was time-effective. But, it's safe, and I got 97 hide and 3200xp each and I only missed three concealshots all night.
If you DO miss two concealshots on one target, the target will aggro and the combat queue will be locked up for, like, 15 - 20 seconds so you won't be able to /warningshot before the foe gets to you. So you just need to get up and MOVE. ![]()
I've got ConcealShot (Conceal I) and Sniping Accuracy IV... although III and IV were just for the accuracy bonuses and the title "sniper"... they gave me nothing really useful at all (since Surprise Shot doesn't work). I haven't worked in the CounterSniping line at all, yet. The right-most line uses Combat XP instead of Rifle exp, and increases weapon speed, so it's a no-brainer: get it.
What I noticed with /concealShot.
Senario 1:
Plains Tusk Cats. None of the pride/herd of them charged me, while I used it. But once he died, I was swarmed.
Senario 2: Fambaa's and Bolle Bols, If I missed, they would attack. But yet Suppression fire spam after that keeps them away so you can kill them.
Senario 3: NPC's. Maulers and Rebels, well the guy I was shooting never argoed, but all his buddies did.
Has any tried it in PvP?
