I just can' take it anymore. The only real reason I went rifle was the bowcaster and since it's not that great of a weapon.....

It starting getting better when I went up to a laser rilfe but I'm sick of watching my friend with his scout pistol killing groups of things while if I miss once or twice i'm a dead wookiee..

Oh well, good luck to all you people. I'm buying me a pistol...

It's going to be your loss in the long run, school's in for most kids so thier time is gonna be screwed, I wouldn't be surprised if we saw more rifleman picking up a pistol or carbine because the players want to have fun while thier playing in thier little window of time. Either or have fun in your new profession, I'll be a rifleman till I stop playing this game whether anyone believe's thier good or not.

im with myumi, rifleman/ranger till i die... but even then ill just reclone and continue being one =P

I'm sticking with rifle to the end, still confused on what else to take though. I was dissapointed when I finished all the missions in the Emperor's Retreat Theme Park and was handed weapons that mostly apply to a Bounty Hunter. What gives?

Then two of my good friends (both BHs) tell me to shoot over to Talus Imperial Post for some Tortur Nest mission, Heck YEAH! Good XP plus getting paid for it, why not! Guess what? In order to get those missions at terminals you have to be a BH with Flame Thrower equipped! I was heated!


My friends were beyong understanding and both invited me to tag along. I just laid the supression fire down, while the XPed on BH. They even let me harvest. Those are true friends. Worked out pretty good. Sucks that I could not take missions though.

My only question is, upon hitting Sniping 4 (sniper) ..... is Sniper Shot only for PvP use?

yes, snipershot is for long range DB.

I would highly recomend sticking it out until the next wave of nuke nerf bombs is droped on us, which I have a fealing is coming soon. Because it has been stated by Holo and other DEVs many times in many diffrent profession boards that pistoleers are far overpowered, and Holo just made a post in the Pistoleer board about it being the fastest growing, and most occupied profession at this time. This post was supported with many statements pointing out many of the features that make pistoleer so overpowered. Seems like this is him just doing one last confermation check before they get the bat out and start beating the crap out of them with it, I can see a big fat NERF!!!1!!1one!!one1!!111oneone!!!omgomgomg!!!one1! coming their way faster than a speeding bullet.

Yes I agree. I would shudder if they made a post like that in this forum. Sorta glad we are a minority, so we should not see that happening to us anytime soon. My new policy for when they nerf pistoleers is to tell everyone we suck eggs if they ask about becoming a rifleman

Well i think bowcaster ain't bad for a noob weapon. You get the bowcaster cert when you first start right? I don't expect the T21 when i first start. I just hit master and **edit**, it was worth the trip! 2 days of non-stop grinding after i got flushing shot 2. My friend (with his pistol) is sick of watching me wipe out entire herds of giant baz nitches in 6-8 seconds (lair included). Another friend and I go to take out imp camps and he says "What happened??" I took it out before he got off 2 shots.
You just need to be patient. At master i shoot every second with a T21 that's got way better damage than any pistol.

bowcaster a noob weapon? lol (of course the orignal post was made pre patch when BCs were only 100 condition)

here is what you must understand.......

all of the master weaponsmiths concentrate on the main rifles that everyone wants...Laser RIfle, E11, whatever. The smiths that have all the best resources, skillz, and the optional dropped componenets and everything else put all their energy into these weapons. that and the fact that themajority of master weapnsmiths are non-wookiee to begin with.

the bowcaster is not a noob weapn, it just isnt getting the attention of the other guns. I make bowcasters on Flurry. I am only Novice wpnsmith with 2 experiment points. my builds are already in the 125-250 range. if i were a master smith I would have at least 8 more exp points and would be getting "great succeses" almost every time I experiment.Really good doonium iron or quad steel has not shown up yet, that will add some pts. I have not used any optional component drops yet, i hear that adds 20-40 pts. Flurry cannot make adv. blaster rifle barrels yet, that will add 20-30 pts. if skill tape every starts to work, then you are going to see some really nice guns all around as smiths will have another 2-3 pts to experiment with.

a bowcaster made with all the leet parts and athe best materials by a master smith like the ones that make all the 400+ dam laser rifles will easily be in the 150-400 damage range. Look at the potential stats for the BC sometime, they are easliy one of the most powerful rifles in the game. I will be making the leet onesin a month or so I expect, but I'm not a big grinder, its not my mainprof.and I only make bowcasters, so i level wpnsmith slow.

if any master wpnsmtih wookiees are out there, I woudl like to hear about your BC builds. my dam. numbers are only estimates based on my experience to date.
