Thread: Serious question for the devs.

Ok ket me see if i get this right.
1.) 2.5x melle damage for rifleman
2.) You just increased damage for various melee weapons.
3.) Melee weapons are hitting me from over 10 meters away
4.) Most Mobs are melee.
5.) You just took away suppresive fire, warning shot and other delay shots as a means to keep aggro melee mobs off of the rifleman.
6.) You just lowered the chance to hit while running. To eliminate Run and gun. (you hav'nt left the rifleman very many options have you?)
7.) Almost everything Baf's
Forgive me if i'm wrong but. I've seen all the Star Wars movies. I belive most of the combat is with blasters, not with melee Weapons. I think your missing something about the genre.
My Question is. With all the new "anti" Rifleman changes just how is this class supposed to gain experience in this game, when all the points made above are stacked against us?
SOE please let us know why you think that grouping is so good when all other classes seem to bennefit from it but this one.
We can't attack any one target in this game without it bringing all it's buddies, they all melle us in seconds because now we can't suppress them more than once every thirty seconds.
You give us weapons that hurt us as much as out target.
I really would like to know what your vision for us is.
it dosn't seem to be the "deadliest fighter from a distance". The distqance you've set up in this game is a joke at best. I can get one or two shots off before an NPC target can reach me and start pounding me with his 2.5x uber powered fist.
Enough is Enough. I guess I'll go group with a bunch of Bounty Hunter's and get 2-10% of the xp because all the combat is inside of 30m in this game. were my rifle is nothing but a liability.

You forgot about warping MOBs and warping when prone. So even if you do engage creatures at a distance, they're on top of you instantly. And when you tryo to move to your ideal range, then lay down so you can hit the creature, you're either 20m forward, and can't hit the broad side of a barn, or 20m backwards and have to start all over again.
