Eh, be thankful that you do not have KD. The pistol whip is a very risky affair. You have to close to within 5m of your target and then use it. You miss and sometimes it is a nice trip back to the cloning center. As for the carbineer one, well if you want to see something spectacular and yet at the same ineffectual, have a look at the carbineer KD charge. Anyways, I think it is nice for rifleman to have some state shots like dizzy etc assuming they work. BH does have KD for carbine and it works nicely. Sawa BH bring down rancors several times with that. However the HAM cost (to be more specific the action cost) is quite high. Right now, the only KD that is worthwhile is lowblow. But they do not have any skill mods on that otherwise there would be a whole pack of disgruntled pistoleers crying nerf at all those Han Solo wannabes.

Screw that rifleman should have a 1-shot kill move that instantly incaps/kills whoever it fires on.

We should be able to blow up cities as well. Maybe planets, but that should take maybe 2 or 3 shots.

Three for a star.

Hey from all the PvP I've done as a master I've noticed that Strafe shot 2 with the T21 takes almost anyone (I say almost only for the sake of not making a dumb generalization) out with one hit. The only real problem is that it leaves you with a POUNDING headache =P Heck, I can take out stormies in 5 shots max, 3 if the damage gets placed right. =)

SniperExtrordinare, you should look into boosting your focus with food. I too was feeling the pain of rifleman HAM costs, until I read about focus buffing, it means you can use a LOT more specials. The only trouble is that the latest patch bugged buffs, hopefully a fix will be going in soon.

I think we should have a KD shot. Most other combat classes got it and we're the ones that really needs it as we need to keep our range.

If Supression Fire worked better it would be as good as KD. It stops your target for a period of time giving you an extra shot or two or giving you the chance to get away. Unfortunately the timer is now too low for it to do anything.

First off

Professions with KD:
Bounty Hunter (+Dizzy)
TKA (+Dizzy)
Smuggler
Pikeman
Master Brawlers

And keep in mind, guys. We may not have a KD, but dizzy does have a high potential to result in a KD against NPCs, and really, against PCs too.In my experience, the only PCs who know to "freeze" in their posturewhen they're dizzy, have been other riflemen. Since the patch fixed (you used to be able to get this all the time), Dizzy/KDlasts much longer than any KD does. Hitting a target on the ground gives you booko damage. Also keep in mind we are the only ranged class with an area Dizzy.

Some tips for getting a KD from Dizzy:

If your target is prone and you get the dizzy, either run out of its range, or into what I call the prone "halo", the area where a prone player cannot fire because he is too close. This will either force a posture change, or in the case where you run out of his range, it will allow you to "pick off" your target, by stepping into range, firing a couple bleed shots, and then leaving the range to watch his mind points fade away.

If your target is kneeling, again, you can exit their range when you want to. May even want to try and hit him with suppression fire so you can enter the "halo".

If your target is standing, you've got an ideal situation on your hands, and you shouldn't really need to seek the KD. You can drop into prone with the added ranged defense and accuracy bonuses, while he's standing with negative ranged defenses and no accuracy bonuses. Just drill him at that point.

And of course with melee, you want to dizzy shot + suppression fire if you don't have a sidearm of some kind. If you can hit them both, the meleer is usuallyin bantha poodoo.
