The only thing I agree with is the 64 mt range, rifles should have the ability to shoot at longer range. Apart from that a MASTER rifle is a killer, T21 rox so good, he penetrates armours like butter, aven without any special does good amount of damage, Strafe shot 2 is Hell in pvp and pve, mind bleed too, Head shot 2!

Why are u all cryingSniper Class is an Uber class, the only class who may cause some problems in pvp may be a BH, but again with the new mind buffs we will have a great mind bleed vs them, and we can be Master Rifle + Master Doc all in 1 char.

The only thing I can say to the ones who aren't Master is "wait to be Master, u will be very happy with your t21".

once they fix teh BAF on concealment this profession will rock.

for now, get a good laser, max out all your mind stats, remove any mind inhibiting armor, and send in some pets then use strafe 2, and ask yourself your own question again.

i know i have changed my tune, thats for sure.

Whats the point? You take a proffesion that by definition and designed role requires stealth and range to be effective, but you cant conceal/takecover oruse cover against non-NPCs and your max-range shot is only 64 meters. How is this sniping, I've personally used my 12 guage shot-gun at 100yds using slugs...am I a sniper. I know its a game so it cant parallel completly but atleast all some relative parallel. Why not alllow snipers to conceal/takecover and eliminate their icon off the radar of other non-NPCs until the non-NPC is within a minimum range of teh concealed sniper. Why not allow snipers to fire from 100+ meters, but provide a decrease in damage after a given range. Allow for the sniper to show up on radar aftre the first or second shot. Require the sniper to move and wait a given time before he can conceal again.

There is nothing worse than to be provided a role that the game has no place for. Snipers in game are as useful as amphbious drop ships on Tatooine. Either adapt the dynamics of a proffessions abilities to its design role or remove it. In fact, the only real sniper in game is the Creature Handler, who can send an animal of any kind at warp speed to attack you from the extreme ranges, from the fringes of in-game sensory ranges. Why a full Graul Mauler can sneak up on you is beyond me, but a sniper stands out like he has a beacon...oh wait, he does, its on radar!

I forgot one thing. Oddly the rifle and ones ability to snipe being limited to 64m is the same range one could use other heavier weapns such as lighting cannons at. Once again, whats the benefit of the long gun? If one coul dmaintain a coherent beam of electricty at 60m , why not allow a laser rifle to fire effectivly from much farther, even if it means a decrease in damage caused.

Rifleman/sniper works great against NPCs I hav eto admit. My concern is the role during PvP. Vlmar posed an idea I also had last night. Why notprovide a dedicated sniper rifle. So the T21 can remain as is maxing out at 64m, but the sniper rilfe would still be a powerful weapon but with a significantly slower rate of fire, horrible accuarcy unless prone with a max range of 100-130m.Make it a very role specific weapon that will bring validity to theproffession. Snipers still need to be able to conceal/takecover/hide/camoflauge that allows them to disappear off radar until they fire their first or second shot or within range ofthe observer.

This would mean that the weapon is pointles incity fighting, while running and mediocre in terms of accuracy while kneeling.
