My Wife is a Master Musician and we tried out the new musician Buffs. She used /setperform on me and I listened for about 10 minutes. Then I stopped listening and guess what. My willpower and focus doubled from 500 to 1000. This buff lasted for more than an hour. I then put on my armour and it was still 710.

I was so happy with this and I was spamming my big hits almost the entire time.

This is also the time when an ImpBounty hunter decided to pay our little Outpost a visit. AMind Shot 2 and 2 Head Shot 3's laterand it was all over. I looked at My HAM Bar afterwards and it hardly dropped anything.

Next time you see a Musician or Dancer in a cantina(Doesn't work for entertainer) ask them to /setperform on you. You will not regret it. Lasts longer than Muon Gold and food and plus there is no downer.

Question about that. Do you have to be grouped with the performer for it to work?

Thanks.

Hmmm. I'm not sure. I think we were at the time. I'll give it a try tonight.

If this buff lasts like the doctors... I'll be making more friends with entertainers .

No you don't have to be grouped with them to get the buff, if they do a /setperform on you. It takes about ten minutes to have it stick. Also from what I have seen/encountered you heal wounds, stop watching, then start watching. Then it starts to work.

Both are great buffs. Just don't die once you get them since they dissapear when you die. They are good buffs but it takes alot to get me to sit in one place for ten minutes.

Forgot to add that they must be masters to get the best buff. Also musicians seem to be better to get it from since they buff the regen stats.

Dancers are also incredibly useful considering the 2.5x hit we take. When something hits for 1000 dmg and you have 1600-2200 mind thanks to a dancer, then you'll know what it's like.

Tried it my self too.

Dancers buff mind pool and Musicians buff focus/willpower.

I was told by the dancer that buffed me that it takes 8 mins to get a full 2 hours.

Only downside is that when you die, and in 2 hours you probably will die, the buff is no more.

Warning!

I tried the buffs the first night they were available, and it worked great. The next night I did it again, but died. I don't remember the exact sequence of events, but I tried to get buffs again later and no matter how long I watched or listened, nothing happened. I worked with the Master Dancer/Musician (dont remember which now) to make sure we were doing everything correctly. Still no buffs.

Later that evening I ran into a Master Doc and asked for HA buffs. He tried to buff me but it failed, he got a message tellinghim I was already buffed, but all my stats showed completely normal. He tried several times, but same thing each time. I even logged out and back in again.
Then I ran into a second Master Doc later, same thing, but he suggested the following, AND IT WORKED: If buffs (either doc or entertainer) keep failing for no apparent reason, Logout and reboot your PC. Evidently either Windows or SWG (or both)cache (save) some temporary files even when you log out. Rebooting forces the computer/SWG to remove these temp files and "start fresh". When I did this, I was able to get good buffs again. Now I also went to my TEMP directory while logged out and removed all unused files from it, but i dont know if that step is necessary.
