So I am reading in various other threads that SNIPER SHOT does a whopping 50 damage AND DB? is this true?

If it is i think it will be the last skill I pick up in the tree i mean cmon, when someone says SNIPER SHOT i'm thinking about the columbian drug lord who has a hole in his chest the size of a basket ball given to him by the usa spook sniper three quaters of a mile away hiding in the bushes. When someone says SNIPER SHOT i think of a bullet at big as a small house pet. 50 damage? is this true? Sure sure DB, but whoopeee i can just walk up and db the buy anyway. Seems like a serious waste for a master level skill.

Please verify. Thanks

Yes, you read it right. But, as a rifleman I almost never got the death blow in before someone else did because I am always so far away. now, with sniper shot I will get the death blow on 8 out of 10 of my targets when fighting in a crowd. Also, ever incap some imp when he was being stood over by his buds and not be able to move in for the kill? Well, this solves that problem as well. It is an excellent skill, love it now that I have it.

hmm a pure pvp skill, that doesnt work all the time, at the level 4 layer of a adv skill tree. Doesnt really seem worth the 450,000xp price tag. But I need it for master.

I'll be picking it up last then, thanks for the info.

Side note, shouldnt we put this in our wish list for a chage from the Dev's?? Seems a bit llamaesc to me.

thanks

when you turn master, if and when you pvp, you will end up putting this shot on your hotbar. Strafe2, HS2, and SniperShot are the three most used shots in my arsenal.

as was stated - there are a lot of times where you just don't have time to DB someone by walking over to them, or there are three or four other guys just WAITING for you to walk over. bam! snipershot, end of story. It also prevents medics from healing incapped players -

it's one of the best shots in the rifleman tree, they shouldn't change anything about it other than it's accuracy bonus (i don't miss often enough where it sickens me, just sometimes i feel like '**edit**, no way that should have missed').

I think you'll learn to like it

Yeah its nice, but personally if you want alot of faction, just equip a weapon you stink with before the DB. It Newbifies you .

Sniper shot is one of my favorite skills hands down, but if you are not a PVP player than I would suggest you wait... I pvp alot on the outskirts or inside of Bestine. It can be a real life saver when you have a clear line of sight on an incapped player but behind the entrance walls are melee fighters or pistoleers (with meleedefense) just waiting to take advantage of our 2.5x modifier, also like said before it not only saves you the trouble of having to run to db, it makes you faster in pvp, you can quickly switch targets and continue to cap others in mere Seconds... and if you are in a large group battle between 20 imps - 20 rebels then it becomes priceless... you know how it is when their is a huge battle going on and capped Imps are left on the ground... well now you can deathblow several enemies in mere seconds.. this way even if your group loses the battle, you can guarantee you took some with you to the cloning facility. The last time I was in a battle of this magnitude I had gotten atleast 9 sniper shot victims due to the speed and efficiency of the skill... but if your not a pvp player... then I would suggest you wait till after all of counter-sniper techniques is done.

Oh one last thing it is good for. You are a total jerk if you do this last thing but it can also be good for stealing kills from other players.

I use Sniper shot all the time. From the hill on Anchor Head no sane Imperial would wade into that rebel crowd to deliver a DB on a recently in-capped opponant. So at 64M they are heading to the clone center and I am retreating to regenerate my mind and escape the 12 rebels heading my way.

Oh did I mention I am Imperial :smiley happy:

Snipershot is great thing, especially when you solo. In group pvp with friends you know and are disciplined it is waste of time. Instead of one snipershot i can in group pvp deliver one strafe2, so weaken enemy even more.
