Thread: uh oh, BHs are screaming that they are a broken/useless class again!

i have come the conclusion:
1) Every combatclass in the game thinks they suck/are broken
2) Every combatclass in the game thinks every other class is uber
Wow you are just starting to catch on.
Why I have always stated that the Dev's really have to ignore most if not all of the posts by their player base when it comes to balance. They need to spend more time testing on their own, and less time trying to satisfy the children who just want a free ride.

Investigation is broken because it relies on mission spawns and we all know mission spawning is broken period.
My solution would be PC bounties instead of NPC bounties- would'nt make investigation easy but it sure would be more consistant. Infact the whole bounty system needs to be redone, right now a BH is just a combat class nothing special.
The devs lack of vision ruined BH and Smuggler's potential, if they would have atleast watched the Star Wars movies we would not be in this peril.
infact this is how I would have done the BH skill tree:
Mantraps,Ranged-weapons,Meele-weapons, Heavy-Weapons.
Mantraps-would be traps to use on non-animals
Ranged-weapons- general bonuses/specialsfor all ranged weapons(Pistol,Rifle,carbine)
Meele-weapons- general bonuses/specials for all meele weapons(unarmed,1H,2H,Polearm)
Heavy-weapons- certification in certian heavy weapons, general bonuses/specials.
1-x-x-x would give you +10 bounty level
x-2-x-x would give you+10 bounty level
x-x-3-x would give you +10 bounty level
x-x-x-4 would give you +10 bounty level
Novice would give you + 5 bounty level, amd Master would give you + 25.
Bounties would be PC bounties, bounty level is affected by a number of factors.
1- How many BH's failed to bring in the bounty.
2- The combat level of the bounty.
3- How many credits were placed on the bounty.
BH coulda been cool, oh well........
So it would be fun to have 3 or 4 BH's chasing after you at teh same time.

your counting is better than mine apparently because bh spends 217 pts to master and hmm master quadleader spends 135.
217-135=49?
217-135=82 would be my guess
huh I must have made an error somewhere i guess.
Also note that it was a rifleman here flaming bh and bh came to defend themselves. Some rifleman defended us also. Did any bh here say that squad leader is not broken? Why dont you mosey on over to the bh forum once in a while and catch our pikeman pity posts we sometimes make.
My 2 credits:
BH and smugglers shouldn't be combat classes at all. They should unlock a portion of the game, much like smugglers BHs do now. Loosen the points system to allow a BH or smuggler to also master a combat profession if they wish.
BH should be like rangers, able to track down their prey using methods available only to them.
Smugglers are a support/crafting class, pure and simple, anyone who gets them to become uber 133t hardcore is in for a rude awakening.
And riflemen: You are supposed to lose to a BH if you don't have support skills. The BH spend almost all of their points available to be BHs, yet we have to spend a fraction of them. Master combat medic, Creature Handler,or Doctor and see how well a BH stacks against your T21 wielding, poison throwing/uber buffed self/Rancor leading self.
Riflemen are the best elite combat class right now for masters, we fire our heavy AP T21s (which ARE the most effecient guns in the game, check out Volsted's weapon guide sometime) at around a shot a second. Pistoleers get, at most, AP 1 and weapons that deal about half as much damage as the wonderful Light Repeating Blaster with the same freaking damage cap thats hit by a Master Rifleman. (The same holds true to carbineers who do AP 2, but still are limited by that damage cap seriously).
As a 2-1-0-1 rifleman, I can hit most creatures from at least 20 meters away. I haven't tried attacking things closer, my old rifleman instincts cry for me to at least get SOME distance. I even tested conceal shot against Pikets... Lots of pikets. Riflemen with that skill, if they select prey carefully, CAN solo dangerous mobs easily, its just doing some experimenting to see what you can and can't fight and get away with.
For BHs: Yes, you guys are the top dogs on the servers, its undisputed. But, even the best WILL lose sometimes, its the way things should be. Please don't cry about being nerfed, it makes you all sound like whiny powergamers who are only after being hardcore, super uber 133t. It gives the impression you are 12 years old, maturity wise.
So, please everyone, stop whining.
