Only for grinding purposes. I don't really see a big difference damage-wise over the two. However, the HAM cost for HS3 is alot compared to HS2.I know people say get FS2, however w/o a creature or tank driod, that is useless.

You are much better off with HS2 if Mind cost is an issue for you. Many people can spam HS3 over and over and over because they have buffs/Mind food. If you are relying only on your own Mind/Focus/Willpower, you will usually last much longer using HS2 over HS3. If you can use HS3 3-4 times and kill your target with it, then no problem. For the slightly longer fights, you may find HS2 to be the better choice. Also, check out the Rifleman FAQ- the thread titled 'Styles' has all the info you should need for damage and delay modifiers on our specials

HS3 has higher damage and speed multipliers than HS2. If HS2 is not hitting the speed cap, both attacks have approximately the same DPS, except HS3 has much higher HAM costs. In that case, HS2 is the obvious choice.
If HS2 is speed capped, HS3 will do a lot more damage.
Note that HS2 will not hit the speed cap until master unless you have a very fast speed sliced rifle, and HS3 will not cap on slower rifles unless you get more speed from SEAs or master marksman.

As long as you use the right food and drink it's not an issue, neither cost any mind, so use HS3...

There is no reason to use HS3 if HS2 is not speed capped, because the DPS works out to almost exactly the same. Someone who has not speed capped HS2 is probably not master and therefore has low accuracy, and would do better using the faster, lower damage HS2 so they're not affected as much by the miss rate.

LLJK does bring up a good point about speed, so if your grinding HS 2 is probably the way to go, if your a master though........
Unless you have a really dam slow gun HS 3 and Mind buffs rules.
