Rifleman Archive

Ill probably master rifleman/master pikeman/swordsman 0444 with 4 skill points left. I dont need the area attack line for swordsman, only the speed, accuracy, and counter. Ill mainly only use swordsman for headhit anyways to finish. I probably will only use rifleman in PvP because Ive noticed swordsman and pikeman really suck in PvP,but are great in PvE. Pikeman is the best verse group npcs and swordsman is great for stuff like kimos and krayts.

you will lack defenses, ability to replenish action and healthpools, and remove bleeds.

i would get at least 2000 medic, and something stackable and defensive to compliment either pike or swords and especially rifle. rifle defenses suck, keep that in mind.

Fixed it for ya. We lack in def. vs. X in every category, but can't be beat when it comes to ranged/melee defenses for ranged professions.

Just curious what your motivations are, pvp? If it is PvP then I would think you'd be better off master swords/rifle with maybe a couple of lines in pikeman. If you plan on using pikeman in pvp, the only way you'll succeed is if you have some nice dot pikes, and if you do, then you won't need master pike to use them. Maybe just pick up some accuracy and speed lines.

I don't know much about swords, but if your template is for PvE then I'd think having master swords would be much better than master pikes. You can tank better as a master swords, plus with your +15 speed I bet you hit the cap with all of your specials? If so you could get a nice damage hammer and be very good in PvE.

Like I said, I don't know much about swords, is it really just as good at 0404? I kind of doubt it, don't you get a nice special at the master box? Rifleman will go good with either swords or pike though. Swords for the extra mind damage, and pike for the stacked block, but I can tell you from personal experience that the stacked block is not going to help you that much. Block is much weaker than counterattack, and I don't usually see that many blocks unless I am CoB'd, so it doesn't help that much with Rifle.

I have over 100 in block, melee, range, counter, and I also have mitigation 3. Seems to work fine for me. I took a TKM/commando and a fencer/pistoleer with ease yesterday. Plus I have well over 100 defense verse dizzy, kd, stun, and posture change. I just headshot them and then when they got in range I head hit them once and it was over. I do have a legendary power hammer so that helps alot. And of course a krayt jawa and CoB macro.

You have a legendary hammer and you are still going to give up master swords? It doesn't make sense to me. A master swords area attacks are just as deadly as a master pikeman's, mostly because you get a great damage type with blast. But, I won't argue that pikeman is fun, I just think swords would be much more effective. Good luck to you
