Thread: Different Stealth Idea (I think?)

Ok, I'm sitting at work putzing around when a new "stealth" type idea comes to me. Perhaps I read it somewhere in my trolling, but I don't remember, this one could be unique.

So, we know that they won't give us invisibility right? at least that's what we've been told. What if they did something like this instead. When you use /stealth your dot becomes "purple" on the radar, so they think you are of the same faction. Perhaps you will be un-"tab"'able as well. That could be pretty nice in a larger battle. Even make it so you have to be prone or kneeling or something. Obviously not all that great in 1 vs 1, but in a larger base type battle it could be fun. They wouldn't know who was hitting them.

Who knows if it's possible or if it could still be hacked, but I thought it sounded interesting. Move along.

Jedi's stay a neutral color on the radar but are still target-able. You can even tab to them I think.

Actually I believe Jedi aren't neutral. A dark jedi appears purple to me, light jedi blue. But what I was saying was make your radar blip the same color as the faction you are attacking.

For example:

I'm an imperial. I appear either red or blue to a rebel, depending on if I am overt, they are overt, etc. Rebels appear purple to rebels. So, if while stealthed you suddenly appeared purple to a rebel, and were un-tab'able, meaning they had to click on you to target you, that could be helpful.

You are probably overt then, I think that if you are nuetral, they are blue and still attackable. I could be wrong though.

In Space no one can hear you spam.

that could be. I was only neutral long before there was jedi. Of course, I guess my "stealth" idea wouldn't be very useful for neutral players, although sniper shot can't be too useful for them either...
