Well im scared,
If they remove looping macros then this will become almost unplayable as a rifleman for me.
I need mindbuffs before I can kill almost anything.
Is there anything we can do to stop this. A petition maybe?

What macros do you loop as a riflemen? Just curious, I have a lot of macros, but nothing game-breaking -brandy, ahrisa, center of being, dancing buff macro, a few attack macros, harvestor macros, and misc stuff. It's hard for me to think of anything that would be that devastating to us riflemen.

I think he means he visits buffbots.
The problem is most people dropped musician/dancer because it wasn't financially viable. Trust in the laws in supply & demand. When there isn't a buffbot parked in the cantina, somebody will go in there and try selling buffs. Imagine if there was a doctor buffbot in the coronet medcenter, parked 23 hours a day, giving out the most powerful buffs, absolutely free. How many doctors do you think would be in front of the starport, trying to sell them? None, because no one would go to them.
Also many servers have entertainer chat channels. Last night (a weekday), on my server, the channel had fifteen live entertainers at 4:30 AM.

Well I run looping macros for grinding and stuff. And many other things for PvP purposes. But its not game-breaking. I myself have a seperate acount I log in and buff myself when I need a mind buffs. But just so the poster above knows, there are buff houses for doctors. You can make them, the macro is a bit more complicated though. So you do not see many of them, Im sure we will start seeing players who are actually there to buff you. Personally I think this will make gameplay much better.
Im sure you have nothing to worry about and its quite a bit of a ways off. So dont worry about it, I believe they are looking for a way to counter this problem. IE, not bieng able to find certain things late late nights. Which may also pertain to mid-days and prime time when it might be harder to find certain buffs.

most of this problem should have been alliviated with the new planetary chat channels. Finding live entertainment is much easier now since they were added. Most live entertainers now keep that window open so they can tell people who are looking for special services where to go now ^_^ Be willing to socialize and you will find lots more entertainers then you would think!

I use looping macros for center of being (I know, thats not rifleman, but thats what I use them for) as well as conceal shot (so I dont have to sit there pounding the same keys for an hour while I wait for whatever I'm killing to die). Neither of which do I do afk (which is their main reason for taking out recursive macros), and I think either they find a different way to get rid of AFK entertainers, buff bots, and spammers, or they leave it the way it is. No macros = no fun = no $15 a month.

you do not need to loop a COB macro... I mean you can do /CenterOfbeing; /pause XX; /centerofbeing; /pause xx: etc .. for lots and lots of lines... how long do you plan to stay in combat? 25 mins? macros are remaining - even long macros... just a macro can not lopp back on it's self now and start over...

Ya usually i jsut use food tobuff my min except in raids when i need as much mind and secondarys as i can
