There is a cap of +25. Once you get enough tapes to reach that if you use anymore they wont take effect.

well if this is what you mean there is only a limit of how many skill tapes you can use because of how much armor/clothing you can equip

most clothing/armor has 4 sockets

well how much clothing can you wear? and how many tapes can you wear on one peace of clothing ???..........

The amount of slots is maxed at 4, however it is random. However, usually you dont want to put it in armor becuase armor breaks real easy. Usually people put them in sleeves, then gloves. So you have the 9 pieces of composite, 1 shirt, 1 belt, 1 bandoiler. I think thats everything, so up to 48 SEAs if you get the 4 on every single one. Which can be tough especially when you are like me and demand every piece of your armor to be 85%+.

Now if you are a wookie, I believe thier best armor has 3 pieces? So wookies get alot less. Trandos cant wear gloves and boots. Ect. So by race you minus the armor they cant wear.
