Hello fellow rifleman. I am M Rifles/ M TKM, with some other non-combat skills. I got my @$$ handed to me last night twice. I figured that I would at least last more than 10 seconds. So, my question is.....can someone that is experienced in PvP, give me some tips on how to better PvP, or if I need to pick a different melee prof to go with rifles, it seems as if most of the posts here have M Fencer with rifles. I am assuming that is a more beneficial prof in PvP, as opposed to TKM??

Thanks

I wouldn't agree that master fencer is the better alternative to tera kasi. It would be beneficial, however, to have fencer 0440. The other thing many riflemen don't realize, is they have state attacks. Use them! Anyways, thats my two cents.

It really depends on your play style. Fencer gives you better damage output then TK, but less defenses. Besides the fact that dodge+cob is amazing. Personally I would do fencer, but thats becuase I can get ahold of an amazing stun baton. Doctor isnt that great of an option coming next patch.

master rifle/doc 4440. anyone that says this resistance buff patch will nerf it is wrong it think. word is that the resistance buffs are only a 1500 buff cuz you get the resistance. ill stick with my 2500 buffs and have my cure packs to stop the poison when it happens. with a 1500 buff and full comp my secondaries (H/A)would hardly be above 1500 and so spamming specials would more or less go out the window.

Well, technically, "Wow, you are ultimate PvPer" would probably be best "compliment." On a related note, there are "complementary" professions that may help you get such comments.

Sorry, I could not resist.

A guy walks into a bar and sits down. After a moment, he hears a voice say, "Nice hair cut." He looks up, but the only other person in the bar is the bartender who is down at the other end of the bar stacking shot glasses and who does not appear to be paying attention to him. Figuring he was hearing things, he forgets about it.

After another moment, he hears another voice say, "Nice tie, too." He looks up again, and there is still only the bartender, so he says, "Did you say something?" And the bartender says, "Nope," and goes back to his task.

After another moment, he hears a third voice say, "And you have a nice smile." Greatly, confiused, the guy says to the bartender, "Are you sure you did not say something. Someone said I have nice hair, and someone else said they like my tie and my smile." The bartender replies, "Oh, that is the peanuts....They are complimentary."

The disease/poison resistance buffs do not work like normal HAM buffs. These are modifiers to your disease/poison resistance. With the upcoming hot patch 9.3, disease/poison will now have a chance-to-hit ration and these buffs will add to the modifier.

As for Fencer having less defenses vs TKM, totally untrue. Fencers have one of the best defense stats (other being pistoleer).

For a master fencer, def vs. dizzy and knockdown are both at +50, as opposed to TKM, +15 dizzy and +20 kd.

Fencers also have a greater melee and rangeddefense modifier at +114 and +141, respectively. TKM is at +102 and +117

Going Rifles/Fencer also gives you stun weapons for both melee and ranged which is a great advantage in PvP.

I would go with MRifles, MFencer, and TKA 4000 for meditate. You'll still have 32 pts left over to do with what you please. Maybe some medic skills to heal or scout skills for terrain negotiation.

TKA also has that Acuity thing which is pretty nice. And their CoB is broken last I heard(2-3 days ago). When that gets fixed, I'll bet TKA defenses will beat out those of Fencers

I have Master Rifles, Master TK, and trickshot line of pistols and it works pretty well. I am one tough SOB to bring down...except Combat Medics of course.

Also COB on TKA is NOT broken, it simply has nothing to enhance. COB enhances Dodge, Counterattack, and Block. Since TKA has none of the 3 it is useless ATM.

TKAs don't have all three? That's what I've been told...

Poison/Disease resist packs will have no effect on any current doctor buffs. Its just one more thing that you'll have to pay doctors to give you. Average duration is 45m-1hr. With the current resistance on even an A pack (they get up to C's which are ungodly powerful) the most powerful spider venom enhanced poison will miss unless the potency is experimented on to exceptional stats. In other words, you'll see very few CM's in the future due to lack an any viable ability.

One set of stun layered armor counters a fencer completely. Stun baton and gaffi stick are AP0 so they take a automatic 50% reduction on damage. The stun baton is pretty much a weak weapon in general but against an unarmored opponent its just fine. Even a psg with stun defense on it takes off a good chunk. The only thing a fencer has left is their vibroblade and it sucks.

Fencer= super defenses and a stun weapon

TK= awesome damage, can attack all pools, mediocre defenses but good toughness.

Put a stun state on a fencer and you'll own them. Get some stun armor.
