im on starstrider, so the high end rifles are unavailable, i am working on novice rifleman right now with my looted laser rifle it has about 5 speed and 7-203 dmg. i am considering getting an e11 over it because so many people seem to love the e11 and im not sure if it would be better, i am also worried, ive seen this pistoleer kill a desert squill, a creature that would rape me badly if i tried, im not sure if its because the rifleman prof isnt good enough or because theres no high end weapons on my server(i know the laser rifle i have is crappy for a laser rifle) can anyone help me out with this? im working to be a sniper and im worried after im all done ill be in close quarters combat more often than sniping ...

Need a job done? Need protection? Need anything? Ask!

Finesse I think best describes the Rifleman prof. The Pistoleers use pure brute force DPS to win there battles, Rifleman go about it very differently. Using well-timed Mindshots in conjunction with WarningShot we can be just as effective, it just takes a little more thinking and timing to do so.

I think what people are starting to understand about rifles - is there is little more thought involved in how you play the game when compared to the likes of blast andhopefor the bestif you are a pistoleer. Trust me i know, im up to pistol specialstso i could run between missions without dying and pistols suck, very boring (got my spraystick now and all i can say is get one of these as soon as you can).Tactics is what is all about if you are rifleman, and for me its why the rifleman is so enjoyable to play.

Combine rifleman / ranger and start using traps and mind shots and you really start getting involved with what you are doing.

My latest combo is this

T21 - Mindshot 2, Mindshot 1, (my personal best was 2230 total mind dam)

switch to my Laser, Head Shot 2 (when my target is around 60m away, ideal range)

swith to myE11, haed shot 2 (have to use the E11 due to ideal range being 50m, you have to be closer than 50 to throw traps)

throw a trap that disables there movement

HS2, HS2, HS2, throw another trap if they are still alive and rinse and repeat.

Use this method and i have started to take on Greater Sludge Panthers, when they hit, they hit hard, so the tension is there. WHile conceal shot is effective, i find it bores the game a little. Be careful thouhg, i actually incapped myself, using HS,the other night cause i wasnt watching and tried to take on 3 sludge panthers at once, i had that much going on didnt notice that my mind was down to about 100

Thanks for the backup Scott, yeah I'm a Master Scout and the traps come in handy. Using Adhesive Mesh to root them works wonders, so do Pheraphine Darts to slow them down, if your good on timing and use the proper combos like you said, you can really do some awesome things.
