Thread: How efficient are limited rifle skills?

Hi there,

If you can only get up to Sniping III in the Rifleman tree, with none of the other skills, would that be any good? The template I am considering is a mixture of a lot of things, and it leaves me very little room for weapon skills (three boxes into one tier of either Pistoleer, Carbineer or Rifleman). I'd like to make the best use of those points.

Thanks for your input,

Depends what you are mixing it with and what you want to do.

For primarily PvP, I'd say getting headshot 3 and a good rifle would be a strong choice simply on account of mind damage being unhealable.

Thank you. What I'm considering is this:

* Master Medic, the Revive tree of Doctor and a bit of Combat Medic to use ranged stim B's.

* Enough taming to tame and controlone level 35 creature.

* Some weapon skills (the three boxes I mentioned above).

I would definitely like to PVP, although that won't be my only occupation. My main goal is to serve my guild by keeping them alive and bringing them back from the dead.

I like rifles for their mind damage andtheir hard hits. On the Medic boards, though, it has been pointed out to me that rifle shots use mind, which would get in the way of the healing. Also, my pet would probably mainly do health damage.

I'd need to be able to solo well enough to make enough money to buy all the medical supplies I'd use, for which a hard hitting rifle might be good.

In PVP, I don't count on beating the specialists, but I'd like the idea that if I get off one shot, it hurts.
